Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket alarm that work for this car? I love my car but just really hate the stock alarm. :( Someone smashed the driver's window and after doing some research, I found out that the car's alarm don't go on even when windows are smashed (which im guessing is what happened)

sucks about your window! hopefully insurance goes smoothly.

theres usually a big gap between a factory keyless entry system, and a full aftermarket alarm.

factory keyless systems usually dont include bump sensors, motion or noise, or hood pins. all they care about is if the door or trunk opened if it was locked and "armed".

if you go visit a reputable stereo/alarm shop in your area they could probably set you up with something that meets your needs. consider remote start as well.

yeah, gotta love insurance, window was replaced AND steering wheel will be replaced (since there were scratches on it) :)

Just visited bestbuy today and OMG, after purchasing a Viper alarm and as they were about to install it, dude told me that unfortunately, after looking over the tech sheets, "it was a little out of his skill level". Well, at least he was honest enough to say that, I want someone who knows what they're doing when they install alarms on my car. (eek2)

Off to continue exploring reputable alarm shops in my area. Trying to figure out whether to have Viper vs K-9 alarms installed......
