AFC Version II on its way...

as far as I know......take a look at the sticky with the different tunes that people have on their cars, there's alot of good information in that thread about the 1st version

nazgul350r, there will be no timing control with this unit.

Eh, I am just fine with my first version. I do all my logging with my Zeitronix wideband any ways, I haven't found the need to log with the AFC, and if I did, I would just need another serial to USB cable to do it. Nice to know that another good product will be coming out for the MSP from a reputable vendor though.

i think Zeitronix is one of the best wbo2 out there for tuning with the afc due to the fact it gives you datalogging of the Rpm's and vacuum which i dont have on my innovate kit.

Dsm Afc

So... If someone want to change their DSM AFC for the second version, i am interested to buy the first version. Just pm me if you want to sell me that and tell me the price shipped (i live in Canada)! Thanks!

actually I will second what Master P3 is saying.....if you want to sell your first version PM me because I'm very interested.

Ok boys and girls time for an update...price for the GB IF I have 20 will be $350 shipped...between 15-20 it will be $360...version II will have the features as mentioned in teh initial post...we are still toying around with the idea of an electronic boost controller, this will be extra IF we even go with it and I probably wont have a decision on that until close to production time. Ok now on the input logging...the a/f input will log from any wideband output sensor. However it will log in terms of lambda...this means it will NOT display a y:X ratio but instead will put out a value such as .92. This value is as dead accurate as your wideband can detect and yes we can provide a chart on what value coresponds to what ratio. Battery voltage will display as a normal voltage value. Once I have sufficient interest in this thread, a list of atleast 10 people, I will start a GB thread in the usual place. On a side note I've had several people contact me for version I AFCs, so I would suggest that those of you looking to sell either A. start a thread in the for sale section with a list of those who have version Is for sale, or B. pm your name and I'll suggest it to those who contact me.

I'm a little slow. Does this mean all I'd need is a WB O2 sensor...and not the controller if I got the updated AFC II? So, I could get one of these (Bosch LSU4.2 5-wire, wide-band O2 sensor) for $80 and be set?

sub and i would be looking for a version 1 as well but i wont be running 10psi's on my car since mine is a aftermarket turbo set up im only running 6psi can i tune to that or is it set to only 10 or higher psis?

you can tune to whatever you want it to be.....but with the aftermarket turbo at 6psi you are probably getting about the same flow as the stock setup with 10psi, so it would be a good starting point.

I was hoping you'd have timing control on this version. Is it in your plans for V3? How does the voltage value effect the tuning?

I think they tried making one that controls timing about a year ago and it fell through because of some red tape...

I'm still hoping you can answer this question for me.

you can also put me down for ebc if you decide to put it in, dude this would basically be a unichip then but a 100 times better because you can tune it yourself w/laptop and have much more control over your car

Edit: i'm curious though, will i absolutely need a Wideband O2 sensor? or is that just something extra?

dont need the wb02 sensor, but kinda pointless to get the version II if you dont plan on logging o2s...should just save teh money and buy a version I....Version II GB will be up Thursday of next week in teh gb section...There will only be 15 slots at the GB price...also I will post up full details of version II and whatnot...

I'll try this question one more time.

I'm curious about this, too. That would be great, but I have a feeling the answer is no.
