AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

ok for those of you who were curious about how to tune past the car going extremely lean when going WOT at about 2k rpm im almost done with my tune, once im finnished ill post it for you all to see and possibly tune around so you all can mash the pedal from time to time, ill even post a video showing me doing it for the skeptics =] its taking a lot of care to tune between 3k and 4k rpm for some reason, i already have the low rpm down and higher rpm im still fine tuning to be a tad richer then midrange, so my tune im looking at this chart generally (its more on the safe side of air to fuel ratios, even though im built i want to stay safe and in this case a condom will not help you stay safe)

RPM:AFR
2k : 11
3k : 11.5
4k : 11.5
5k : 11.3
6k : 11

well to put it blatantly, those maps are made for those individual's cars.. not anyone elses.. so that's just a starting point for anyone else.. the rest of the work for tuning is up to you.. then if you like you can load that map up, with your/your friends mods and all that...also it depends on where the person lives and temp.. all sorts of things.. so put them back in, load the mazdaspeed 14psi map, and start doing so datalogging until you get less/no bogging and good afrs.. it will take time but you can always pay someone $500 to dyno tune it.. but I'd rather save my money

yea i know they are made for each persons car, i just expected it to at least be driveable
when it was bogging down wasnt even it boost, it was as soon as he stepped on the gas after he shifted

plus it was like 6am and i hadnt slept all day lol i wasnt about to do a tuning session that early in the morning, i was tired as hell

^^ haha well ya that sucks, but you should be able to get rid of a lot of that with a TON of tuning.. it will take a while and the car will run like crap until it is fixed but should fix.. and I assume that when switching to 440cc injectors, the stock fpr and fuel pump is fine.. but I dono, someone else should know for sure.. but the bogging after shifting could depend on his setup.. as in bov/bpv setup or bov only ect... I had really bad bogging before I relocated my MAF in between shifting

Yea the dual setup (which I have) really sucks... all I do is bog down until I hit open loop at 4kish. I need to get off my lazy ass and find a place that can do welding so I can recirc my BOV.

Ok I'm having the same problem now but worse. AFRs staying in the 17-18 when I just apply gas. When I ease on the throttle all the way to wot it's fine..

man that is so weird.. mine use to be really rich.. well kinda.. it was 13-14 at 1-2psi when I mash on the gas, but when I just did light acceleration and held 1-2psi it would go really rich.. before I tuned it....oh but also guys, I did notice when I was trying to add gas to the higher rpms.. the more I kept adding (the fuel cell #s that is) the leaner it got.. I am 95% sure that you have to make a very gradual change to the fuel cells to make them work.. otherwise it seems like it does the opposite that you want.. so I would honestly start from the beginning in those low psi areas (stock supermap for that section.. which is mostly just 10s) and go from there.. it might be really lean for a sec when you hit the gas for WOT but tune it so that it has good afrs when you keep 1-2...ect.. psi... and really I noticed that when I tuned for that.. the afrs when I mashed the gas for a WOT pull, the afrs were great, and dropped right down, even though I didn't need to change the cell #s that much.. look at my map a couple pages back and look at the datalogging numbers and stuff.. might be easier to see it that way

oh.. that really sucks then lol.. check the fpr, fuel pressure in general, um... any leaking fuel.. stuff like that.. I would think that might be more of a fuel thing since it is out of boost too... or actually check the coil packs too, mine was like that kinda when my coil packs went bad

compression really isn't the first concern. but since I've said it once, I'll say it again:

A CUSTOM MAP... tune, or have it tuned.

what would be a good map for
stock injectors
8.5:1 forged internals
3" exhaust
10+PSI?

i went thru all of them, but none talk about lower compression and higher boost

I would imagine you should need 440 injectors at that boost level, and like wagon said just get a custom tune and you will be very happy. I know I can't wait to get mine dyno tuned.

^^ like they said, gonna have to tune it yourself... there are no maps that are tuned like that, at least none that are posted on here... so your SOL sadly.. might be able to find someone with the ssafc and similar mods and ask them for their map.. but I dono

i need them injectors

for now, the car is running constantly super lean

if your running lean on stock map get injectors or turn boost down. the stock injectors cant handle that much.. get some 440s or something. and dont be an ass about tuning. stop trying to find one already made, because its not going to happen, your gonna have to roll up your sleeves get on your knees and do some work yourself. stop being lazy, tuning isn't hard, keep your laptop in your car and do a quick tune right before you go drive somewhere. thats what i do, granted its not that easy for me since my laptop battery literally lasts seven minutes, so i have to tune then recharge tune then recharge.

i decided i will do it myself with the help of another fellow MSP
we both have widebands and we both need tuning, so we'll waste some gas on it....

thnx guys

i'll post the map here when we are done

uhhh...i was running 12psi on stock injectors, 8.5 CP, i used the superstock map and it worked fine, actually it worked great
during the winter i used the winterfmic map and it was awesome too, no need to do a completely custom tune
