AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

Yeah, at idle mine goes from about 14. to 15., depending on temperature & such.

17, even if its just at idle, sounds a bit spooky to me.

@ hondaeat-r: Its not rich always out of boost, i noticed as soon as i pick up speed and hit 0hg the AFR goes to 10.0. At idle im around 16.9-17.0. When im cruising the AFR's is up and down depending if i let go or give a little on the gas pedal. But as soon as i hit 0 psi its at 10.0. I thought about the O2 but like you said i would have had a CEL.

My current settings:

PWM mode: pressure 0 to 30 psi/3 vdc fs
Output A mode: Aux Fuel pump with abortive start time
Output B mode: Over Pressure
Output C mode: Inj A and B over /latched
Over RPM: 6000
Over Pressure: 1.1
Over INJ %: 90
Fuel Pump start pressure PSI: -1
Fuel Pump run time: 3
Fuel Pump startup time: 120

@ wagonbacker9: How much you suggest i make my changes by? .1 up or down?

I appreciate the input fellas.

All setting look right. Was this tune going fine until the FMIC change ? The "goinf to 10.0 AFR at 0Hg" is you hitting your overpressure set-point. Try trimming back the cells from 1.0 or 1.5 psi on (reduce value already present).

I have a lean idle too, and the thing is to just not let it idle like that for really long periods, at lights and brief stops and even cool down is fine. There's no load on the motor at idle, so it's not a big deal, although somethings not working perfectly.

yeah i know it's not an exact ratio, but on avg its around there.

really doesn't matter, you just dick with it until you get where you want.

copied from another thread that I thought was this thread...

So I drove the car today after letting it sit all day yesterday and once I got to the main road that was plowed fairly well, I eased the throttle down and once I hit 0 vac around 3500-4000 rpms...I felt it jerking and the wideband jumped to 10 flat. Honestly I was barely on the gas at all, and I don't think I even hit 1 psi before it happened. I know the weather really ***** with our car, but is there a map I can load that would be better for cold temps? I don't have my FMIC installed yet because of the damn snow we just got, so I don't think I should use the winter FMIC map. Any suggestions?

P.S. I am currently running the superstockmap

I am currently running the superstock map as well. I have a relocated MAF, and yes the weather definitely messes with the MSP. My car runs great unless there is a ton of moisture in the air... i.e. when its raining. I will get the jerking you are talking about as well. Runs perfect on any other day.

hmmm. i've never experienced any jerking, stock or modded. currently im on the supremap and the car runs better when its warmer out, when it gets cold my afr's go down to 10 at wot. but never any jerking.

Yea it's been really bad today. I can't hit boost at all without it jerking. I can still drive the car normally thank god, but I can't help but think my wastegate actuator may finally be crapping out on me. I think I will just go ahead and order a serial to usb adapter cable so I don't have to keep using the one at my work when I want to fool around with the AFC. Anybody know where I can find the best manufacturer and cheapest price? I'm told Belkin makes some good ones.

Common sites I visit for technology:
1. Newegg
2. Tigerdirect
3. Best Buy (usually higher prices)
4. Walmart

Well I just went to newegg and bought a cable for under $20 shipped. Probably won't be the fastest as far as data transfer but I don't care as long as it works. My friend ripped out the ECU and checked all the connections and verified they were good. Then we took it for a test drive and he was driving so it's not quite as easy to feel it holding back but I was watching the WB and it didn't hit 10.0 like it was for me. He kept driving until it was fully warmed up and it still seemed to be okay. The idle was all messed up since we disconnected the ECU, but on my way home it was acting up for me again. Some times it would pull pretty well, other times it would just bog down completely. I let it idle for a good 10-15 minutes when I got home so the ECU should be reset. I don't know wtf to do with this thing. New map?

I'm about to install my AFC split second v2 and i was wondering is their anythings thati might need before installing i dont want take things apart and than figure out i need something else that didnt come with it.

shrink wrap, solder, a soldering iron... a serial cable, a computer, a map, and the R4 software

wire cutters, strippers, and I think just a 10mm socket/extention to get the ECU up. (its been a long time since I put my turbo timer in.)

preference goes to wire to extend the harness depending on where you plan to mount it, and a WBO2 if you plan to tune it yourself.

does what? if you are comfortable with soldering in it should be too difficult. just somewhat tedious and you need to be very careful. hopefully mine is going in this weekend.

piece of cake to install. hardest part is fumling wih the ECU plate trying to get it out when your lazy ad don't feel like removin the glovebox.

just make sure you double check the harness pin numbers on the plug. theres a lot of same colored wires.

I would recommend to anybody installing / tuning with the AFC to use not only the instructions included, but also all the knowledge you can find on their website.

www.splitsec.com

You can find anything and everything you need to know.

quick question i'm planning to have my afc intall on saturday along with my FMIC should i run FMIC map or the Supermap i'm gonna be running stock boost until i get can a boost controller what do you guys think ?

I too was wondering the same? Seems like everyone runs the superstock map though many of you have fmics? Does the superstock just work better or what?

I new to this tuning stuff so what AFRs should I want to be at?
