AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

im going to assume then that noone knows that those outputs mean..because that didnt even come close to answering my question lol what are the values what do they mean?

if you really want to know then pick up the phone and call mark at splitsecond.

^^^ Looks good from what I can tell. This really makes me wish I kept my 440cc injectors. How's the throttle response out of boost compared to the MSP ECU? Aside from the T3 and headwork, our setups are similar (FMIC, relocated MAF) so this could actually be a good benchmark for me (if anything, I think 11:1 is a tad rich, 11.5:1 would probably have been fine). That is, if I ever get some 440's but I'll probably just wait and go bigger when the time is right.

The only negative thing I have to say so far is that there weren't any recordings in the file (datalogs). It's always nice to see what's actually going on with people's cars.

Ah yes, I forgot about the timing. In that case 11:1 is probably a little safer.

Unfortunately I'm still running the stok 280cc (I think) injectors. I'm at 10 psi on an upgraded stock turbo so I'm pretty sure I'm right at their limit.

Right now, my ideal setup would be the new SS FTC with my P5 ECU and some 565+ cc injectors. Pair that with a build engine, worked head and a GT2871R at 14-16 psi and I'd e good to go. That's really all I'm looking for with this car.

How did you manage that with the stock injectors?

Manage what, 10 psi on an upgraded stock turbo? I don't know the duty cycle but I have no problem hitting AFRs in the 10:1 range at low boost levels. All that other stuff is what I want to do, not what I've already done.

really? i was at 11psi on stock injectors w/ FMIC, 3" exhaust no cat, intake, thunder mani, walboro fuel pump and a couple of lil things here and there, but at 11psi i was still taking away fuel not adding. But is there a way to tell your duty cycle without having a standalone? Still new to this tuning thing.

That's great man! Keep us posted for sure.

Question, is the P5 ecu the same as the LX ecu? I'm pretty sure it is but just want to make sure.

My bad. Now that I think about it I was maxing out the MAF not the injectors. Either way, with the cell values at 10 after 5.5k rpm, the AFRs were in the mid to high 12s.

I completely forgot that my 180 deg thermostat will throw off the tune for everybody else.

I'm having a hard time tuning this thing now that it's freezing outside with this thermostat. It just runs rich, but still pulls very hard. The temps barely reach 165 deg when driving. Will wait until tomorrow day to fine tune it.

How cold is it where you are?

Also found out that the max boost pressure is 8.6 psi in 4th and 7.8 psi in 3rd.

What do you mean by this?

^^^ Probably has to do with the more advanced timing of th P5 ECU. I'll have to keep that in mind about the thermostat though. I have been having issues with my cooling system lately (taking too long to warm up and throwing an IAT CEL) and will likely be replacing it along with the IAT sensor.

I bought a used, low mileage IAT sensor from a junk yard for like $40.
Yeah, I keep throwing "IAT voltage too high" and "coolant temp below threshold" CELs. I've been meaning to pick up another sensor for lik $20 from Forcefed (he's somewhat local) but I've been lazy. It doesn't really effect anything while driving - just takes a while to warm up. But man, you paid $40 used?! I swear the part went for like $44 brand new at OnlineMazdaParts!

How so? Is it bogging down? I had a problem for a while where the car would bog really badly as I crossed over the "over pressure" point. I had lowered it to 1 psi but I switched it back to 1.1 psi and that seemed to help a lot. Perhaps set the over pressure high to like 2.1 psi or something? You're not going to break anything at 1.5 psi.

Either way, the stock computer switches to open loop around 4500-5000 RPM and makes the car run unbelieveably rich while not in boost. An "Over RPM" of 3500 would probably solve this but you'd have to tune the entire pressure range, not just in boost.

I pulled all of my previous posts about tuning 440cc on the p5 ecu so I don't cause anybody any trouble for the mean time. I'm suspecting that my car is not running right because of various exhaust leaks, so my maps would probably cause problems for anybody else. I won't post any more maps until i fix all of my exhaust leaks and such. I'll probably need up to two months to get it all sorted out.
