AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

So when it reads --- LOL thats saying Im lean? And you think I can blow my block at 6psi (forged) My boost is fine and I reading fine vacume at idol. And how long does this normally take? I need that usb cable. Do I need to drive the car with the laptop hooked up to it? Crap Im nervous now!!!

Crap I thought the AFC came with a pretune? Damn it. Now Im really worried. Speedaddiction20 are you going to be busy this weekend? Im going to try and get this thing semi tuned this weekend. Any way I can get a hold of you "PLEASE" lol

I highly doubt that you're leaning out to that extreme at only 6psi. You might have the same "version" of the AEM as I do, that's all. More than likely you're running rich, below 10:1. Your engine would have blown up by now under any decent amount of load at over 17:1 afr...that or the engine would be bogging badly.

I ordered this AEM from Ken. Not sure. I was running around 9.5-10.2 now I can watch it go down. The car is running strong. Man I scared now. But I saw someone on here from Ft. Walton take their car to a ma and pa dyno and get it tuned. Right now Im thinking since Im only about 2 hours from there, to go ahead and have it dyno tuned. Ill gladly pay someone 300-400 vs buying a new block "AGAIN"

lol, first, it does come "pretunded" all it has is the stock supermap which as said lots of times before is a combo on 3 maps for stock, 8psi, 10psi.. which will work fine and all dandy as is, but there is a good chance you will still be running pretty rich in most areas, which is where the tuning comes in.. just follow what I said before, take it slow and make sure you get like 5 base runs first recorded before you change anything, just look at it if you only do small changes and test the changes each time than you shouldn't have a problem at all, I thought the same thing as far as what if i leaned it out to much and all that, but once you get a base line and see how the program works, than small changes here and there shouldn't result in anything bad, and you can always look at your WB while your logging to make sure everything is all good

This weekend I will be kinda busy, but I will make sure to check the forums (which I do anyways) at least a couple times a day, I think like 10 pages back I uploaded my recordings/map of my first set of small changes, given, it was a little warmer out where I am, but the general idea is the same.

Just be smart about it, make a couple runs data logging and only change the areas that are consistent in all the maps and keep it generally from 11-11.5, an instant spike to 12, or I've had like an 14 or 17 sometimes but from what I read it is most likely a misfire in the cylinder (which actually means that there was a lot of gas for 1 of the sparks.. i think) but look at the recordings that I had posted a couple pages back might help to get a visual reference. I remembered that you might not be able to because you don't have the software yet or whatever, so I'll give uploading a shot now.

Edit: almost forgot.. the cable. do you have a 9 pin port in your labtop? if you do than it is easy, just find an old cable that is female on 1 end and male on the other end both sides 9 pin.. might not be able to find these in the stores (I wasn't) but since I have only a 15pin in my Dell, I had to buy a 9pin male (AFC end) to a USB plug in, with I think software to runn it or something like that, cost like $40 but you should be able to find one cheaper, I was just impatient with not being able to find the right cable so I just bought it when I finally found 1.

here is the R4 software, not sure if it will work, but you have to unzip it first.. let me know if it doesn't run.

No problem, after learning so much myself with the help of the forums its nice to be able to give something back lol

I couldnt get it to open, I unzipped it but it wouldnt open. No rush I still need the cable. Any idea where to get it?

Crap, I think thats what mine looks like, but I have know idea what the others look like to compare. And do you have a partnumber or name of this usb cable?

So you're UEGO goes down below 10:1? Wow, I wish mine did! But yeah, my wideband looks just like Custom's (just I used the silver bezel :))

hmm, ya i figured it wouldn't open I tried to zip the whole folder but that wouldn't upload.. in the mean time I got the cable at Staples, I wouldn't get it from there just because it costs so damn much, and ok after looking for it for a lil while Staples doesn't have it anymore i guess.. but look here.. this is what you need, its a little cheaper than what I got it for, if you have a 9pin port in your labtop. .just get a straight through cable (9pin Male to 9pin female) but if you can find somewhere else for cheaper go for it, it took me a while to find when i was first looking for something http://www.cablestogo.com/product.asp?cat_id=101&sku=26886

hmm weird i can't see your pics of the WB but oh well, im pretty sure its the same one..and ya actually I forgot about radioshack lol.. haven't used them in a long time

BTW, guys...the superstock map runs pretty lean (12.5) towards red line on my setup when the temps are in the 30s or lower at 8-9psi that my boost fluctuates at. I'm far from stock, though. One thing is for sure, the car moves when that's the case.

So is it safe to say with the wideband I have (protegegarage) WOT Im not running lean is actually running really rich? Thanks for the cable info.

I think so, yes. Just look at the light, if it's sweeping left and red that means it's rich (less than 10:1). BTW, i'm assuming that you have the AEM WB like mine.

Yes its all the way to the left, so I was also assuming rich. So how bad is running that rich? BOOM?
