Aero-turbine Custom Exhaust

Hey guys, i went to the custom exhaust shop today, trying to price out a custom setup. The guy there was really pushing this aero-turbine thing. Never heard of it thought i would ask here. He suggested i replace the stock resonator with the aero turbine, keeping all the stock pipes, the completely take off the muffle and put a straight tip out the back.

He also stated that an exhaust over 2 inches will cause me to burn a valve, by throwing off engine timing.

So i have a few questions. Will it be rediculously loud with no muffler?
How long do exhausts from MR and racing beat last?
will a pipe over 2 inches throw off my timing/damage my internals?
Does pipe size actually increase horsepower? Will be removing the stock resonator and applying this aero-turbine resonator with now exhaust increase any power at all?

I'm gonna search around at some other custom shops, see what they are selling.

i've never heard of a situation where having exhaust piping bigger than 2" throw off timing. the pipe diameter has nothing to do with timing. i've got 3" piping on my eclipse, 2.5" on my pro5, and both cars are fine. as for the aero turbine, my dad is all about that thing. other than what i've read on their site, i know nothing about it though.

sounds fishy...looks like it may be a ploy to offload some overstock.
