AEM Tru Boost

Hi, I bought an 06 MS6 barely used recently and I noticed that the previous owner had an AEM Tru Boost guage installed. I understand what it does in principle. Does anyone else have one? Also, how the hell do I adjust it/ work it. He left me with no instructions...(boom02) I don't know what kind of setting to use or how to navigate through it really. Can anyone help?

Is it just a gauge? All it does is tell you how much boost your car's at. Think of it like a fuel, rpm, or speed gauge. You don't adjust it.. just check it for problems or how much boost your at! (like if there are leaks etc..)

I know how to read a guage....this isn't just a guage. I think I could have figured out how to read a guage lol. It is a boost guage and boost controller in one. Ok...so "read how stuff works", got it lol....does anyone have any experience with the this controller?

is it even safe to adjust boost like that?

Might seem a little obvious, but why not Google it? If nothing else, go to the AEM site and see what they say about it. You might even be able to e-mail them and ask for set of instructions.

shoot me a PM im semi well versed in the tru boost, your not adjusting a target psi you adjust the gain. 10%-100%.

To get to the adjustment menu, hold down the two middle buttons, you have a map a/b for boost targets. Adjust the gain up slowly till you reach a target boost.

I know how to navigate through the menus, but what I don't know is what levels to adjust everything to. There's scramble boost...there's boost cycle....sensor, alarm, full graph, spring rate...there are a lot of different settings. I understand how it works in principle, I just don't know what numbers I should set it to, or what the cars threshold is. I know the car from factory boosts to 15.6 psi, I've heard it can safely run at 17. What I want to do is raise boost to higher level...safely. So what I'm trying to figure out is...how to really use the Boost Controller,...and what are safe levels to be adjusting to. Thanks guys for the tips and advice.

You adjust the boost cycle, dont really need to mess with anything else.
