AEM SRI intake question

try it and see - the auto tranny is naturally larger than the 5-speed, and depending on the layout of the SRI, it may be an issue. Basically, you could try to eyeball it, how far down does it seem to go after the curve? Look at your car and make an (un)educated guess, or just fire off an email to whoever you are planning on purchasing from.

By the way - you can also use the search option.

they list different part #'s but it should be able to work on either with a little mod.

Yes, it will work...i have it in mine. Your going to have to angle it off to the side towards your headlight. So your filter sits over the hole where the Injen CAI goes down. Ill put up a pic tonight when i get off of work to show you how i did it. I think it looks pretty damn good, i like the piping size better than the Injen...much, much larger.

.....the intake wont fit downward like in a 5-speed equipped protege.

The only mod that needs to be done is you have to bend the piece (whatever its called) on top of the intake down.....or else you cant close your hood. I'll eventually have it shaved off though......actually there is nothing holding the piping up, it fits pretty snug in that fenderwell corner. Ive had no problems with the piping moving around......its sitting like 3 inches above the fender floor.....im sure you can put something down there for it to sit on.

sorry to rehatch an old thread but i finally got my aem installed tonight...it seemed to not fit in the corner as snugly as i thought it would...i ended up shaving a small bit of the headlight fixture so that it would fit...citizen, got any closer pics of where the intake filter sits and along the piping?
