? about rad fans

I only ran one fan for around 2 years. never had any sort of problem and it was the stock fan on the drivers side. I actually bought a fan to replace but I was too lazy too install it and since I didnt run into any problems I said the hell with it. on a dyno it showed it was running alittle bit warm but the stock gauge inside showed nothing out of the ordinary

well thats good to know too, just y could it have been the other way around lol.

SOB the K&N will not work they only offer a 3" in one lenght and that is 6.5 inches long so i dont think that will work, sad to say but i know pepboys have some pretty shallow filters.

I thought you were hooking it directly to the turbo? There's no way that inlet is 3".

Spal slim fans... one "pusher" and one "puller". As you can guess, one goes on one side of the radiator and the other goes on the other side. They seem to do the job for me. Our cars do run hot and the stock radiator is thinner and smaller than the P5's and the stock fan spins too slow to be really that effective. You can thank Mazda/Ford for that bit of great engineering and shotcut.
no it's not
the P5 radiator is thinner than the MSP one and because of that the overall thermal capacity is LESS than the MSP's

I use the 800cfm fans from autozone. they are "torq-flo" brand. They are 60 each. They work fine. If u so the common MSP thing where the stock smic is gone, u want a 12" on the engine bay (puller) and a 9" (pusher) on the opposite side on teh ac condensor.

I have a corksport p5 rad so i use 2 12" (in the winter i have a harness to run 2 as teh rad fan, and in the summer i run one as the AC and one as the rad fan.

ill have to check those out.

do they come with mounting brackets?

You assume wrong. They are like big zip ties. The Proform fans I linked come with some brackets and with the nylon pass-through mounts.

Hmph, who knew cause looking down on mine compared to the P5 always looked at least a 1/4 " thinner and obviously it's shorter. Where's the actual specs on the differences?

I have been thinking of using that thermostat, know did you notice a difference since you engine would running cooler or is it more of a supporting if you have your car pretty dame built, cuase if i remember correctly you car is pretty built.

Honestly, one of the best mods I bought. I have an actual water temp gauge, and it dropped my hot coolant temp from 210*F to about 170*F. That's like after an hour of bagging on it. A wicked good investment IMO. Corksport is cheapest, but if you phone Ken at PG they'll match the price. CS is great though, they have tons in stock. Even on a mildly built car, running cooler is ALWAYS a good thing, it is expensive for what it is, but really, I would def. reccomend it. Trust me,it's one of those things that when you get it, you'll love it too and be all like "why the **** didn't I get this before?!?"
