i know this tach isn't exact but is this the correct redline for an MS Miata?

Just curious, why is it higher on a non MS vs an MS?

BTW thx for the reply,

Honestly, I'm not sure. It's probably related to keeping the number of service/warranty calls down (High RPM + Max Boost + etc).

Im guessing tranny is different. I bet you could just throw in a bottle or 2 of naws and it would change your tranny. Worked for Brian E Spilner. :)

Thx guys/gurls

gearing is the same as the normal 6speed though. The car lacks the variable cam timing that the non Mazdaspeed cars have.

So which one is quicker? I would imagine having the variable valves would be a benefit for pwr gains. I guess thats what gives it a higher redline.

The turbo on the MS makes it the quickest, hands down. Also, my '99 does not have the vvt, and it redlines at 7200.
