a full 5psi from 2000rpm-up?

Hey Boosters,

Not that I dislike the turbo kits out there (I drive a VW 1.8T, too) but I'd like something a little more factory looking and not as "high-strung". I don't need 8psi...maybe 5psi. I'd be happy with a "real world" 20% increase in power across the entire power band. A nice Eaton supercharger setup (even an M40) would be plenty for me. Anybody have anything like this in the works? I've driven a few other 4cyl cars with this type of setup and it feels like a nice, well-mannered V6 pushing under the hood...not the high-strung pull of my turbo car. Our protege is a street car, never sees the track and probably never will. I don't want to waste my clutch every few thousand miles. I don't want to race VTECs or VR6's. I just want a little more NJ freeway power. I know this probably goes against the popular choice of this board but I thank you for looking.

Ever consider a smaller turbo like a t2 or t25? You would get full boost by about 2000-2300 rpm....but you would run out of steam by 4500 rpm

SpoolinMP3...I just checked out your pics. Nice turbo kits!

Hey, Welcome to the board! Yeah, Terry (Spoolin) makes good turbo kits. If you were worried about wearing out your clutch, you could get an ACT clutch. I have this clutch on my turbo setup, and it is great! Just watch my signature below for the model number.
