needs more standalone ECU...haha, sounds like some tuning needs to be done.

Alejo_NIN said:my car idles better than ever, only thing is tyhat when the car is cold, it bogs at lower RPM's for some reason.
i haven't got a cel yet, and i shouldn't get one either since everything is connected and working perfectly, but who knows.
so far is been great
the car today seemed alot faster than it ever has!
WOOT?
i'm really happy with the outcome.
Alejo_NIN said:we don't have map sensor unfortunately, we have MAF sensors
i still have the bog down when is cold thing
one question tho, do you have your EGR connected?
i don't, and i'm kinda blaming that, but if you do have conencted then the problem lies somewhere else...maybe a bad leak? but if so, wouldn't the car ALWAYS run like s*** and not go away when the engine is hot?
hmm..

Alejo_NIN said:i don't wanna say you are but i've never heard of a map sensor either...might be wrong too
so far mazda calls the sensor by the firewall on the passenger side a "boost solenoid" i dunno why tho
Alejo_NIN said:yea, they're actually 2 sensors and they look similar, one feeds from vac on the manifold, then that sensor feeds the second sensor which in turns feeds the canister you talk about which recirculates gases back into the fuel tank...
Shadow102 said:The MAP sensor is in fact located right behind the passenger shock tower. It had the mitsubishi symbol on it. When i first put my manifold on the car i did not have enough vac line so i didnt hook it up and the car threw a MAP sensor code upon further research it is a MAP sensor. There is no wastegate control solenoid my guess is that the MAP sensor is just a back up to the MAF and for the fuel cut. Reasoning behind this is that most cars will not start let alone run without the MAF plugged in but my buddies P5 started and ran with the MAF unplugged
