It is a knock detection system that is unmatched. www.jandssafegaurd.com if you have never heard of it. No im not phisically hearing the ping that would be almost imposible at low levels. I have a monitor in the car that tells me when detonation occurs.
And when it does occur it is corrected via the JandS.
ya, its on there, viper3205 is the name(don't ask me why...) but i've also got a build thread somewhere in the Forced Induction Tech on here.Alejo_NIN said:is your car on mazda626.net?
if so..i love it
hotrodf1 said:haha. My bad. Sounds like you got your system hooked up well. I guess I'll have to check that out - sounds expensive.
I would have thought the factory computer and knock sensor would do the job - are they not sufficient I guess?
OK I got this covered nowAlejo_NIN said:i thought of the following problems and their solutions:
1)fuel rail, in fact, does not FIT
Solution: USE THE OLD 626'S FUEL RAIL, **** IT.
Any pics of where cut was made?2)Fuel lines, in fact, DO NOT FIT either
solution: cut 1/2" from the 626 fuel rail, make sure you trim the tip very good...then install stock MSP fuel line...FITS like a GLOVE!
So you removed the fuel injector O rings? I would assume that would leak.3)MSP Injector size does not fit 626 manifold. and using the 626 injectors is not an option!
Solution: remove the little black spacers and bolt the fuel rial directly wihtout them!!!!
My EGR seemed fine, but I also had issues mating these up. I may try it without connecting the tube.4)EGR Valve has bigger screws than those that came with the original 626, thus, not allowing to fit those screws!
Solution: use the stock 626 EGR holding screws or if at all possible, don't use EGR altogether. Instead, leave EGR plugged in hanging around in the engine bay. As you can see, it wasn't so hard after all!
