ok guys, the ******* time has come!
i'm in the precess of installing my 626 manifold.
i thought of the following problems and their solutions:
1)fuel rail, in fact, does not FIT
Solution: USE THE OLD 626'S FUEL RAIL, **** IT.
2)Fuel lines, in fact, DO NOT FIT either
solution: cut 1/2" from the 626 fuel rail, make sure you trim the tip very good...then install stock MSP fuel line...FITS like a GLOVE!
3)MSP Injector size does not fit 626 manifold. and using the 626 injectors is not an option!
Solution: remove the little black spacers and bolt the fuel rial directly wihtout them!!!!
4)EGR Valve has bigger screws than those that came with the original 626, thus, not allowing to fit those screws!
Solution: use the stock 626 EGR holding screws or if at all possible, don't use EGR altogether. Instead, leave EGR plugged in hanging around in the engine bay.
As you can see, it wasn't so hard after all!
now, go and enjoy your beautifully made pre 2001 626 manifold for 80 bucks!!!!
