626 intake mani

Hey..i know everyone has beaten the dead horse on this one but i can't find it. What year of 626 intake manifold is everyone getting? Someone told me once but i forgot haha. Also i thought i saw someone say u have to use all the 626 components like fuel rail, injectors and s*** like that. is that true?

Its the 2001 626 intake manifold. Nah you dont need to get the fuel rail and injectors....your stock fuel rail and injectors are a direct bolt on. Might even be the same parts as the 626 fuel rail and injectors. You will also need the EGR Tube because the protege EGR tube wont link up proper to both ends.

Does it have to be an "01" or can it be any 626 mani from that generation?

the only one out is the nsn one and it sucks....but the install is pretty straight foward..the only hard part is the bolt for the bottom brace of the old manifold...it's a biaattch to get...besides that it's jsut unplugging everything and unscrewing it all..getting new gaskets and reinstalling making sure you re-plug all the vac lines...

Hey i just got a 1997 626 manifold from the 2.0 and i was hoping i could use it. It came with everything including injectors and fuel rail. Any words of advice?

it's not stricly a model year to get. you just have to make sure of the part number, which is FS1G-13-100, it does not have VTCS and is listed for 2000-2002 applications. Of course this really only applies if you order it directly from a dealership, which is stupid since protegegarage has it cheaper anyway.

Of course this really only applies if you order it directly from a dealership, which is stupid since protegegarage has it cheaper anyway.

dude. I'm taking the manifold off today and I'm telling you there is no system of butterflies on the thing. since they should be right near the edge where it lines up to the head I'll snap a picture for you if you want. Im not saying that they didn't have another part number for the butterflies or mabye another number for the mani with VTCS all I'm saying is that part number lists 00-02 applications, I purchased the manifold and told the parts counter guy a 01 mani, that's what he found and that's what I have, without VTCS.

I have been researching this for a couple months and finally wrote 2001 626 mani on my to do list....It now reads 2000 626 mani.

Im gonna pick one of these up... So what exactly do i need?
Things i know i need....
1) Throttle Body Gasket
2) Intake Manifold Gasket
Things im unsure about...
1) EGR Tube... (Which one exactly do i need to pick up?) part# would be nice cuz im probably going to the dealer for this....
2) Anything else?

I don't want to search anymore cuz everytime someone asks for the part# for the egr tube they find one before anyone can answer... Ya i know i can get it from pg but the dealership is right down the street.

so, there is a 93 626 at the junk yard. that wont work? its a 2.0l
