For those who have attended in the past, this is a different drive because of flood damage our usual route is underconstruction and Rainbow Falls state park is closed. It doesn't have to be canned goods. I'm sorry they just have to be Non perishable food items.

Here is a list I found on a red cross site.

Here are some suggestions of canned and dry goods that are nutritious and easy to use:
(asks that you avoid items in glass as they often break in transit.) Thank You!

Tuna Fish or other canned fish or meat
Beef Stew, Meat Soups
Hearty Soups
Canned Spaghetti or Pasta
Chili
Beans (kidney, pinto, green, yellow, refried or black beans)
Baby Food or Formula
Ensure or other nutritional supplement drinks

Rice
Dry Beans
Noodles, Macaroni
Powdered Milk
Pancake or Baking Mixes
Cereal/Oatmeal
Granola Bars
Peanut Butter
Jelly (in plastic jars)

Personal Care Items
Diapers
Toothpaste
Toothbrushes
Soap
Shampoo
Disposable Razors

Sweet idea! But a bit to far away for me so (bump) for you

So are you donating all the goods to red cross then??

No it is going to a local church in the area of the Floods. The Red Cross is a great organization and is doing great things to help but the donating to the church is the only way to make sure 100% of what is donated goes to those who need it in that community. The list I got from Red Cross as their general list of items they always need across the US.

Awesome drive! Thanks again for everyone who came out. I personally had a great time. I got to meet new people and see some old friends. It was fantastic, Church was over whelmed, they had a small basket for us to fill, they thought everyone was going to bring like one can of food. (shocked) We blew them away with our generosity and courtesy.
