installing 440 injectors. Havent ever done boefore so...is it simple? seems like it would be just dont want to miss an easy step a f sumthin up. any advice or how to links would be great appreciated. did a search and didnt really fiind my answers

It's really, really easy. I amazed myself by doing it in a relatively short period of time.

Basically all you need to do is unbolt the fuel rail enough to lift it up, and pop the injectors out. I didn't totally remove mine, so it might have been trickier than it had to. Also I have really skinny arms and small hands so I may be able to work around things.

Not sure what safety precautions you should take, I ended up leaking fuel into the engine bay, but I gave it awhile to evaporate and I was good.

how are u tuing the injectors?? i was thinking about gettin them but i wouldnt have a way to tune them.

yep went nice and easy. although...I did drop one of the spacers lol. took longer to find it then actually putting the injectors in

Im having a local shop tune it.charges like 75 bucks an hour. Its not my daily driver so basically ive had it gutted in the garage all winter working on it. those where the last thing i was putting on, then ill take it to him to get setup.

He has a Unichip. You'd need some sort of EMS, Unichip would work and so would the SS AFC. And any standalone such as the Haltech or Microtech would definitely work as well.. but those are usually overkill. Piggybacks do the trick for most of us.

good luck, my cold start and idle still ran like ass with unichip. there was no way to tune those. into boost it wasn't always spot on either.

No way to tune the unichip? all smart assness aside, maybe im just not understanding. Did you try a unichip tuner?

i also have unichip, but no one around me can tune the unichip..so i just waiting on the injectors.

Yeah Im running into that problem now aswell. I put in 440 injectors and the car kept falling on its face around 4000rpm.I took them back out today and the car is essentially fixed. talked to the guys at my local shop and to tune the unichip you have to get the tuning software. Which unichip is generous enough to sell for 850. (f-that) I assume a unichip tuner would have that but i dont trust unknown hands on my car so...they suggested an AFC neo. all this info was just given to me today so im gonna do some research on this neo and see what I can figure out.

Yes, it was tuned by a Unichip tuner, JDM Sam in fact. When it was cold it idled rich because there was no way for the Unichip to alter the coolant correction. Piggybacks are limited to only a universal one size fits all map. All piggybacks run into this issue of limited tuning capability. It did run fine into boost and what not, just it didn't feel like it was making the power it should be, and it still wasn't fast enough for me. He got me boosting and running until I got the Haltech. Take your car to him, he knows his stuff with this car. I had mine tuned when I was in Dallas visiting family. It should be only a few hours from Tulsa.

Yeah I gave up on the unichip.(will be posting in the FS: soon) was working great till I wanted to go bigger and mess with fuel and what not. Dallas isnt far but wasnt wanting to take the drive. tried an afc neo but...like everyone said it wouldnt work for me.To bad cause the screen on that thing looks sweet! was putting an shooting fireballs! yanked it and sold it right away. Splitsecond for me now
