4 lug slotted brakes?

Stoptech.com they are expensive and require a 17" rim minimum but they are the only ones I can find for the 4-lug

Mine are KVR slotted rotors and carbon fibre brake pads. KVR is a Canadian company.

ok, so basically any rotors i see that say for the 1.6 are really just four lug and will fit my 4 lug 2.0?

I bought mine 3 months ago at eBay.

$95 for both Brembo cross-drilled and slotted for the 4-lug 1.6L, OEM size

Theres two different rotor sizes for the 4-lug 3rd-generation, 9.3" and 10.1" (not sure if its 10.1" or 10.2"). Generally 1.6 L came with 9.3" rotors and the 1.8 L ES came with the bigger ones. Because of yours being 2.0 L I would believe it uses the bigger rotors, however you can measure them to be sure about the size. At eBay you can find both sizes.

any one know how dificult it would be to do a drums to disks swap?

On a scale of 1 to 10 about a 7-8. And there are no 4 lug rear disc's so you'll have to do all 4 corners and go 5 lug. Which that will also mean new wheels.
So in all at least a grand.

so if u buy 1.8L they will be correct size for 2.0L LX, it seems like it

the first pair on sale here ( http://www.importrp.com/search.php?mode=search ) it states that it fits 99-00 1.8L and 01-03 2.0L DX, LX
so they must be same size, correct???

peace

They do not fit on the 00-03 4lugs. If they did so many guys would have 4wheel discs. Like I said, the only way is to go 5lug.

but what about the website, it states that those Brembo front cross drilled rotors will fit 01-03 Protege (2.0L) DX, LX ..... as well a 99-00 1.8L http://www.importrp.com/product.php?productid=48356&cat=0&page=1

Edit: Also ken (protegegarage) can get 4lug front rotors (drilled/slotted) for 01-03 Protege ... he just answerd my e-mail

Are you just talking about the fronts? Because the web site only states the front disc. If so then yes they might fit. I have the drilled slotted brembos on the front on my LX. They work great.

If for some reason we've over looked something and you can do this please please let me know. I'm to cheap to spend the cash for 5lug and would love to go 4 lug rear disc.

But I you do a search you'll see that there just isn't a cost effective way to do it.

I found few places that carry the front ones...where did u get yours, I want those Brembos too,(since our cars are same model and year) just the fronts ones for now until I find rear disks (4lug) i have found rear ones for 1.6 and 1.8, but none so far for the DX, LX 2.0 :( I'll check with ken to see if he can do anything.

peace

btw, I'm waiting on my front set of Power Slot Cryo treated rotors along with Hawk HPS brake pads to get here tomorrow. I'll post some pics. (thumb)

not sure what pads are good or not but I know that semi-metalic pads will give you superb stopping power, but at the same rate if the rotors that you got are not cryo-treated, the pads will destroy the rotors at a moderate rate only becausethe pads are semi-METALIC.
