4 lug slotted brakes?

Hey guys, just for your info, here in Australia the last of the Astinas (P5) which were designated BJ11-J48, with a 1.8L engine, came with disc rear brakes that were 4 lug. They were only a solid disc however, and I think they are pretty much the same size in diameter as the fronts. Might be something worth thinking about if you don't want to go 5 lug conversion.
I've seen pics of one. But by the time you get all of the parts of it and pay the shipping and tax you could upgrade to the 5lug 4 disk. No if you can get everything and ship it to me I'll give you 200!!(glare)

yeah i was looking into that too, it does $$$ a bit, but i'll do it in the future, u'll need those rotors, pads, calipers, brackets ...... but to me it'll be more fun than to go 5lug route :)

peace

Yea i'll be sure to keep you posted. I looked at getting the green pads, but for $5.00 more you could get the Red Stuff LOL

cool thx bro, yeah i think RED ones might go better with these rotors, (mine are same as the ones u ordered) :)

peace

Ok Rotors and pads came in yesterday. My buddy works at Honda and has helped me with a few other installs. So its basically whenever he can fit me in. (dunno) I was looking at the Rotors yesterday, they look HUGE lol and i was wondering why the pads were so expensive? But then i opened the box and saw there were 4 pads, so its about $20.00 per pad

I just happen to have 2 brand new brembo cross drilled slotted rotors (brembo stamped on the edge) that are 4 lug that will never work on my p5 that some asswipe seller on ebay stuck me with quite awhile back. The picture showed 5 lug & said they were for my car as well as others soooooooooooooooo, let the PMs fly, now accepting offers. Shouldn't cost more than 15.00 or 20.00 to ship. I can take pics & do the official forum user nametag & all that later after work if anyone is interested. *edit* Actually I will go ahead & dig them out of them garage, take pics & post thread in the FS section.

They are around 20 to ship, that's what mine cost (that I didn't have to pay).

Oh ok well that makes scene then. LOL I'll probably replace the rear (drum) pads as well if they need to be done. But those suckers last 4ever.

Got the brakes done this past weekend and the difference is def noticeable. Def a good upgrade if anyone is contemplating swaping out the factory rotors and pads.

so then dont skip the middile ground and buy some good aftermarket OEM style rotor and pads. no sence in going stight to the vodka, when a nice dark guinness will do the job.

had my Powerslot cryo-treated rotors + Hawk HPS pads for 1 week & 3 days (almost 800 miles on new setup) and Im loving every bit of it. Great stopping power!

They don't make any.

There isn't a company that makes a good quality rear brake shoe/pad? The ones i have on there now squeak, especially after a good rain.

i'm gonna order my pads on friday when i get $$$... which brake fluid is good for our cars?

peace

Not shoes. I don't mean this in a disrespectful way at all. But if you wanted performance you should have get the ES with the 4wd. I personally didn't pay attention to what I was buying. I thought they all came with 4wd so I never looked. What a dumbass I was.(pissed)

Naw i feel u, at the time of the purchase which was in 01 i looked at getting an ES. But i was younger and they didn't want to approve the financing i needed on the ES. So i got the LX 2.0

But my next purchase will be AWD most def, and disc all the way around.
