dot 4 thats synthetic. need to get all the old stuff out first. take a turky baster and suck your resuvoir dry then fill it up with new stuff and then bleed your brakes till you see that the new fluid is comming through from the farthest wheel first to the closest last. (run on sentinse LOL)

well i got my new rotors n pads on for about 700 miles now, they;re good but i keep hearing this weird noise, i dont know if its because they're drilled/slotted or sumtin else.....its like trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Naw i mean i have heard a bit of a noise, but its usually when i break and can hear the pad hitting the rotor. But its not loud at all, or anything alarming? I just drive it the way i usually do? I haven't been babying mine, or ragging it out either? Just normal stop and go traffic. Maybe take the wheels off and take a closer look?

saw this on the tire rack.
NOTE: Sport disc brake rotors will produce some additional noise. It's not uncommon to hear a whirring noise as the brake pads rub over the dimples, drill holes and grooves while driving. While some noise will remain, its level will become less noticeable as the rotors and pads break in.

yes thats the noise i was talkin about "whirring".... i didnt rlly baby mine in the beggining, i do lots of highway driving, and i'm a bit of a speed demon who loves curves :) ... mine are alrdy screeching sumtimes, i'm gonna clean them up next week wen i rotate my tires

*update*
well them pads and rotors didnt last long... lolz, i checked my brakes the other nite and the pads were gone all the way, i was like ok, i'll just go and get new pads, easy, but then i noticed that my rotors have heat cracks, so sh*t, now i have to get new rotors as well, so i'm gonna just take it to the shop, since i cant be driving around and riskin my life, ya kno... it rlly sucks

for now i have no choice but just to get OEM replacment, i didn't want for my brakes to give out on me sumplace on the road, don't wanna risk it.
it didnt surprise me that much that the pads were gone, but the cracks on the rotors show that it was a poor design and poor quality of the material, they only lasted lil more than 4 months........

yeah just keep an eye on them, i did use mine real hard, mostly cuz of autoX, but also sumtimes on the streets to, the pads and rotors i had were made for track use and not daily driving, so i wasn't that much surprised about the pads..., and my rotors did get real hot, my friends told me sumtimes at nite (after bit of hard breakin) they could see them glow.., but none the less i was happy with them, they breaked real good :)

peace
