it wasn't to difficult... edges and corners get quite tedious at times.. it was pretty easy because we had four hands working on it... one person apply heat the other person wraps..

you will need a pretty big piece... the piece we used was more than enough due to me not having enough length wise... so had to use my last big square and angle the spoiler on it... measure and cut the extra's off

if i were you i would just get the biggest piece possible... the more you buy the cheaper it gets per sq. ft.

and once you start playing with it... you will get addicted... its fun...
start off with small flat pieces with little to no curves to get a feel for it... then start doing more intricate pieces...

or you can go for the gusto like it did with some stuff and end up just taking it back off and putting it in the scrap bag... yes this stuff is very forgiving... if you mess up on a big piece you can just peel it off crumple it into a ball and use it for something else... when you heat it back up it comes back flat again

Lol. Some ones interested...

How much do you guys think Id need to do the Mazda Mazda lip. Like the one J-Naoto has.

depends on how many times you mess up... the wing was the biggest piece i've ever tried and it wasn't to bad because it doesn't have too many curves.. and the shape is pretty consistant..

the hardest piece i did was the dual gauge pod cluster... that sh!t was hard... like i said in the previous post... just go for it and buy the biggest piece possible.. you will enjoy playing with it and find many other things to cover...

list of things i've done
dual gauge pod cluster
shifter cover
ebrake cover
roof rack caps
rear trunk garnish
both b-pillers
both window switch covers
door sails
gauge cluster
15" macbook pro
magic mouse
remote control
and gave a bunch of it away to friends that wanted to try it out

You know. I just don't know if I can commit to buying all that. My parents already think I'm crazy.

Yeah, it would look like poo if you sanded it. You might be able to clear it though. But i would be worried about the stuff expanding and contracting and messing up the clear.

I think if you want to clear it you want to go with this stuff:

Here is the exact kit you would need:

http://www.carbonmods.co.uk/Products/Carbon-Fibre-Skinning-Starter-Kit---Large__CMCFSK1000.aspx

If you want to test it on the 3M Vinyl, you could just get the resin epoxy and apply it to the 3M, shouldn't need sanding:

http://www.carbonmods.co.uk/Product...ting-Epoxy-Resin---500g-Pack__CMCFLR05KG.aspx

or

http://www.carbonmods.co.uk/Products/Carbon-Fibre-Laminating-Epoxy-Resin---1kg-Pack__CMCFLR1KG.aspx

The 1kg pack would cost $50 shipped.

I would be more worried about the paint underneath bubbling and pealing

That looks great

So has anyone sprayed anything over the top yet?

I tried some spray can clear. Starts to look a little more like plastic. It still has the cf reflection. And the vinyl gets really dark. Still need to shoot some real clear onthis stuff

I want to wrap a few bits in my interior with this stuff but I don't want it to fade or peal away

That's my worry atm

Interior of my mp3 just thought I'd throw these up here. I love the stuff.
