2018 CX-5 2.5L AWD: Persistent Low RPM Jerk Issue Despite Multiple Fixes

I own a 2018 Mazda CX-5 2.5L AWD and have been experiencing a specific issue where the vehicle "jerks" or experiences a drop in RPMs at low speeds. When the engine reaches around 1200 RPM, it drops approximately 200 RPMs without switching gears, resulting in a noticeable jolt. This issue occurs at any speed when switching to manual mode. I have ruled out several potential causes, including spark plugs, the fuel system, sensors, software issues, ECU errors, and transmission fluid.

Additionally, the following actions have been taken:
  • Replaced spark plugs
  • Changed transmission fluid
  • Cleaned the throttle body
  • Checked for ignition misfires
  • Updated the ECU software
Despite these measures, the problem persists. I am seeking further diagnosis and a potential solution to this issue.

Look up the Transmission relearn procedure. It's somewhere on this forum. Set it back to factory specs and go from there.

Its the Oxygen sensor. Get it clean up or replace problem solved.

With that drop of 200 rpms it kinda sounds like when the torque converter locks up. My CX does this but without the jolt.

I see that the trans fluid was changed, how was the level set and was Mazda FZ used?

It is especially noticeable in the Miata. In that car it occurs at ~2300 RPM and drops by ~300 RPM, sometimes producing a jerk. The CX-5 does it but it's less noticeable.
