2014 Mazda6 Project

Superbrightleds.com Been shopping there for 6 years. Good stuff, it's like a candy store.

Do you know if they have the LED replacement bulbs for the fog lights? Just a simple swap of the bulbs without having to mess with the voltages?

H11 HID kit were installed yesterday and the colors match at 5000K. 43000K may be closer, but it would be lower than the headlights. I'll take the slight brighter 5000K.

Install was easy, it was taking the plastic skip plate that took long. Ballasts and bulbs dropped right in. Now, just waiting for full LED set up that I ordered yesterday to arrive. Taking those ugly amber halogen turn signals out along with full interior and plates.

looks great man, I'm getting ready to order the Morimoto 5,000K 35W kit myself. You have the GT correct? was there any adjustments that needed to be done to the angle of the projectors or no? I hope not. Simple swap of the bulbs for ballasts and HID bulbs is what I'm hoping for.

Yes, they have 2 H11 direct replacement http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/daytime-running-lights/. It would have been cheaper to go this route, but I prevent the HIDs.

Having 4, 4 LED Festoon bulbs and 2, 5 LED bulbs in the doors makes it super super bright in the cab...it's like daytime inside. My GF asked why would I want my license plate to be more visible with LEDs? You are just making sure the cops get a clear look at you'd plate? Duh! She got me!!!

I also purchased a 194 socket to replace the tiny trunk light. It should just be cut old socket, connect wires, make hole bigger and plug in 5 LED light. I'll keep you all posted.

Do you know for the fog lights, if i need to get a load resister? What about the interior replacements as well?

I'm not sure about the LED fog light replacement, I went with the HIDs and they work fine. The LED turn signals does give you that hyper blinker style due to the low power draw...car thinks the bulbs are out but it works fine. I don't mind the hyper flashers.

More goodies. New trunk light socket with a super bright 360 LED bulb, some spare LEDs and Evil M emblem.

Evil M is the same size as the trunk emblem.

Yay or nay???

Also, I cut the trunk light socket thinking that it would be an easy barrel connector job, but the new socket doesn't light up. Any suggestions or answers? I tested the new LED in the new socket and it lights up? Please help.

Sorry that was a typo. I meant 5000K HID kit for the fog lights so that they match the Bi Xenon headlights. Ordered them from Japan so that they are not the cheap China stuff.

Does anyone know how to get their hands on this body kit from Mazda Japan OEM factory? I'm interested in the side rockers and maybe the bumpers.

I bought 7440 in red LED same style as the front. They are the same length with that grooved aluminum body. It's clear, but flashes red. Easy mod, plugged right in. I'm going to leave the reverse as halogen, I like the look of the clear bulb. So, 7440 for the rear turn are confirmed. After my free dealership detail, I'll take better pics. BTW, now that I'm at 1300 miles, I took the 6 to 123mph. Felt solid, the 245 20" V12 tires felt confident. It was a straight shot, no curves. I was on the gas for a good 5 miles.

Oh, and I'm not using that huge front plate holder that came from the dealer. This is a small flat bracket from PepBoys for $2.99. Looks and works perfect.

I too am looking for the body kits. Anyone know also where to get H&R's lowering springs?

i just ordered interior LEDs but after looking at the lights inside the car..im not sure how the lenses are removed on some (domes)..
any way you could share a quick tip on how you opened the housings?

thanks!..car looks great btw!

Well, guess what...I found a U.S. dealer that ships Japan parts. The full body kit is about $3K and air shipping is about $1200 or by sea at $900. Let me know if you order it...may be a little too rich for my blood. VIS is super close to me, I'll just wait until they knock it off and get tge whole set for $1500. At that price, that should be hand delivered by some cute Japanese school girls that will paint and install them. Oh, yeah...that's in painted.

Nice find. Geez, how long did that take you?

I figure it will take about a year before the parts arrive, so it's a question of is a year worth the wait for that style... I actually prefer the M'z front lip...

Dammit! You're doing all of the things that I'M going to do, and I'm getting the same color car! :( hahahahaha

I just purchased a 2014 6i Touring. I wanted the grand touring but unfortunately could not get one in the time frame I had. SO i could use help on getting mods on mine. I love the exhuast tips. Where did you get those from? I also just have the stock halogen headlights. I have my own HID kit from a previous vehicle Im going to use. Its an 8000k slim ballast set. But I want the led/halo eyes kit. Know where to get those?

Check Superbrightleds.com for all your LED needs and search out some BMW aftermarket sights. I e seen a few angeleyes upgrades. If you want 19" wheels, I am still selling my stocks for a killer deal. Hope the bulb numbers match from your old HID kit.

Do you know the model number to replace the headlight bulbs? And how easy is it to replace them?
