2013 CX-9 Navigation stopped working

This week, my navigation completely stopped working. Pushing the navigation button does nothing - it just stays on audio or whatever it was on previously. Anyone experienced this? I already tried taking out the SD card and putting it back in. Not sure what to try next. Don't want to have to mess with taking in to the dealer for this.

Wow, fixed. I had tried taking the SD card out and putting it back it, but I did it while the car was running. This morning I tried taking it out and putting it back in while the car was off, and it worked. That must be how it gets the cue to reset. We'll see if it stays fixed.

that's what the warranty is for. Don't mess around with it yourself--you don't want the dealer to argue that you did something to void the warranty if you can't fix it yourself.

EDIT--just saw your second post. If it happens again, take it in to the dealer. Even if it's minor like the SD card fix you said, you want the dealer to have a record of the issue if it keeps happening.

Good point about taking it in generally, but what I did is exactly what the manual said to do. If that didn't work, dealer would have been my next option (unless someone here had a simple solution).

I had the same happen to my 2014 mazda 6 that has the tom-tom. Had to turn off and take the SD card and it reset. Hasn't had it happened again and it's been 2 weeks.

It sounds like a software problem of TomTom unit.
Hope they have a fix soon that you can download.

Yep, searched for a thread like this.

I removed SD card out. Put it back in, started the car, and my Navigation was reset. (2thumbs)
