2013 CX-5 P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire issue

Interesting info about Miller Cycle a bit off topic while looking up compression

Hello all,

I have a CX5 sport with about 130,000 miles on it. I have been dealing with a cylinder two misfire for quite some time. I replace the spark plugs twice. I’ve also replaced all the coils. I also cleaned out the intake valves. I took it to a mechanic who was not very helpful. The car would lose power, but improves after replacing spark plugs only to come back a few months later. Has anybody experienced this? Any thoughts or ideas? I have not done a compression test or replace the fuel injector. Thanks.
New to this forum but my 14 cx-5 has had something similar- Very short-lived spark plugs in cylinder 3, I have replaced it twice in the past two years, the coil pack was out for cylinder 3, also replaced it one year ago. I checked the spark plugs in the other three cylinders, they are also pretty bad (although not misfired yet) after about 10k miles. I was thinking of cleaning up the intake as others suggested, but it seems it does not work for your case. I wonder if you have figured out what is going on?

Not yet. I am going to replace the fuel injector and do a compression test. I’m trying Techron as we speak
