2012 Mazda 5 Bluetooth Problems (iPhone)

My wife has an iPhone 4 with the latest iOS. For whatever reason, my wife is having problems using the her phone via Bluetooth. Media streaming works without a hitch, but whenever she places an outgoing call, sometimes she can't hear the person on the other end and sometimes the person on the other end can't hear her. It as though the Bluetooth is taking its time connecting - even though Bluetooth media streaming works flawlessly. Sometimes the display on the dash will display "Searching..." when she makes an outgoing call.

Is anyone else having this issue. We've used her phone with our previous vehicle (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan - uConnect) and never had a problem. Perhaps there is an update for the Mazda5 Bluetooth module?

I tried repairing yesterday and it does the same thing. It seems like I cannot dial from the phone itself and that I must use the controls on the steering wheel which sucks, because I can't import my contacts.

We were having a similar problem with a HTC sense. However, we just upgraded phones with the Samsung Galaxy, and all problems have disappeared. So I have figured our problems were the phone and not the car blue tooth.

I have a Nokia Lumia 900 and have had no issues, also, my wife has a Samsung Focus and also hasn't had any issues.

Got a Samsung Galaxy S2: No problem. For music, titles show on the display. (With my wife's iPod Touch, they don't. Even with the latest IOS update)

i have a samsung galaxy s but mine somehow does not show the music title..

does the screen just show BT :---:----
try pressing the TXT and/or SCRL buttons on your radio.

for those that have this working, how is the sound quality?
I initially thought it was ok, but after adding a second phone (older blackberry), the original phone sounds rather distorted over bluetooth. the mp3 files are ok, because it sounds fine via headphone or same files on PC.

I have galaxy s2, quality is fine for music but when making a call it magically disconnects after 2 minutes. This issue seems to happen across the board for the s2, so I don't think it's the car's BT.
