the mazda3 intake curls up under like that, but doesn't go under the engine. so does the protege 2liter intake manifold. except the protege intake manifold is on the back side - this one is on the front.

you might be right on the intake, but those runners look pretty long...much longer than the runners on the protege manifold.

And yes, it is a Mazda2 commercial ... It's for Italy and says something like "...and now the luxury models come with optional automatic transmission..."
