2006 Mazda5 whistling sound from windshield area when driving

wondering if anyone's experienced this with their Mazda. Mine is almost at 80K miles and recently been hearing a whistling sound coming from the windshield on driver side when driving at moderate to high speed. The windshield had never been replaced and has no damage other than a very tiny chip on the center. I am wondering if the seal around the windshield has come lose or there is a crack someplace causing this. I remember over a year back I had driven it through nickel size gail in Central valley California but the problem did not occur soon after that.

Is there a way to check/prove what could be causing it? Any advice/ideas appreciated. Thx.

If yours is an 06 double check that your passenger side front window is all the way up in its channel. It sounds silly, but mine was whistling at me for two days and when I ran the windows down and then back up again the whistling stopped
