2003 Tiburon GT?

the 328whp with 15psi w/ spray was done on a roots supercharger which are by nature not as efficient as a centrifugal super. or a turbo
now ask Ibbanez *Jerome* from Panama city. Running a custom turbo setup. at 7 psi dyno'd at 280whp w/ 270ft/lb of torque on stock internals.. oh yeah hes actually running 12psi on his turbo right now but hasn't dyno'd. Yes still stock internals.
Our internals are s***? according to who? Maybe you because you wish to think they are.
o.k so lets not talk msrp.
come over to atlanta and you i'll take you to rick case where anyone can buy a FULLY loaded new tib for 16,500.
a tib w/ leather sunroof etc will weigh just over 3100.
If your going to bash the Tiburon, please come up with FACTS regarding the car, and do a little more research. I can't say anything about your vehicles because I know only so much.
You guys are reminding me of the RSX board, where some moron was claiming the RSX-S is better than any porsche ever made. and he was serious. some of them are just that cocky/ignorant.
The Tib isn't the best car obviously. But it isn't the POS you guys were making it out to be.

Man... you people are hopeless... truly hopeless. I actually like the mazda, reguarless of the asshats that drive them. You completely miss the point of almost everything I said and instead of getting the point, you pick apart pieces of the topic. For example... you are all hung up on 15psi making 300+ and that not being impressive. Ok, well the dyno video I posted above is 312WHP at 6psi. Is that better? WTF? bad cast internals? The car running 15psi and spray has completely stock internals and a STOCK AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION! My car is 272WHP and only running 6psi STOCK EVERYTHING accept headers and also and AUTO! So, you guys can hate all you want... i don't care... but bottom line is your ASSumptions about the tiburon are wrong whether you like it or not so drink some prune juice and let the sh|t go.
I reserve greatness for only a few cars, and I will admit that a Tiburon is not one of them, but for alot less than $20,000 it is a nice car. Some moron started a rumor about the Delta (V6) engine only being able to hold 250hp before it blows up. Well he was misinformed, because some moron just kept throwing nitrous into the stock motor until it broke. This has caused people, like Apexi to shy away. I got the I4 in the beginning because it was a daily driver. I had an '94 Eclipse GS-T and an '87 Z-28 Camaro for playing. I have since gotten rid of both the other cars and am playing around with the Tib.

Well Jeff... in all fairness.. you took your shots with the grocery getter comment and the weight comment, and boasting how the psi vs times slips and hp arn't impressive.... so whatever... but either way, for what it's worth... the car isn't what people think it is... it is much more.. and just as capable of making big power for small bucks... again, I have nothing bad to say about mazdas.. I like them. I am simply trying to clear a few things up about tiburons... no matter how old the posts were. In fact, in the first post I said I knew this was an ancient topic... but that didn't stop people from starting in on how the car is still a POS... so, old or not there are still plenty of ill informed people.

Well, I don't believe in 1/4 times because a car makes power... a driver makes times. Nobody is trying to impress you either. Also, the 6psi vortec is making the same power as the 12psi roots and the vortec cars have not been to the track yet... so who knows.
you proved my point to a further degree grasshopper, someone can say hey my car puts out x amount of hp, but when they drive it, the car is slow....which would make me double take on their "dyno"....which is why i don't believe in them ;D, plus dynos can be faked pretty easy, video of someone goin down a track with the times posted on the board can't be faked so easily
race him on a highway from a roll. thats where you see which car is truly more powerfull and lauching skills aside lemme know if your interested.
