2003 Tiburon GT?

ok so first you guys say they suck because of the stock HP.
Then they suck because the supercharger only gives 50hp??
Then they suck because they can't handle FI.
Then they suck because they are too expensive..

So, I have proven all of this wrong.
1. My supercharger: pre install benchmark WHP 152 Post install WHP 272. So that's what... a 120 WHP inrease so that's out.
2. I am running 6psi. Others are running 15psi.. All on STOCK internals. So the can't handle FI is out.
3. Expensive? MSRP for an 04 is 18739 minus a 2000 dollar manufacturer rebate puts us at 16739. Too expensive? Brand new now... 10 year 100K warranty. Not fast enough right. Ok, so invest in some headers (300$), then the blower (4000$). That's it. So for 21039$ you will have nearly 300 hp at the wheels. Install it for another 1000 and your done. Show me another car where for 22,000 you will have 300 HP at the wheels? NEW, not used.

So after all this... and being proven wrong with every complaint... now all you guys can say is they suck or they're gay. Figures. I would have expected better but oh well.

Damn. Two cars with FI. I guess that proves that all of them can handle FI. I've seen many more blow up than hold their boost.

And it seems to me that you are either very stupid, or retarded. You said a 10 year/100K mile warranty. This came right after you told us that we should buy one and supercharge it (hand)

I can name one,,, oh yeah the MSP, 300whp for 22k, 18K + 4, so its ok chunky tibby.

where did you get 2 cars? There are dozens and dozens of supercharged tiburons in the US. Show me one that blew up in the US due to a production FI kit. Show me just 1.
I mentioned the warranty because you guys were talking about the STOCK tiburon. I mentioned the SC because you guys were talking about FI. So if you can't understand it... sorry.

As for comparing it to your mazda... show me 300whp for 22K brand new. If you do, then I will show you a turbo'd 4cyl tiburon for less than 22k, making more power. Compare apples to apples here.

Neon SRT-4. $20,000 + a grand or so for the stage II Mopar will own that Tib for less... I'm not endorsing the SRT-4, but after driving a stock SRT and a modified Tib, i'd go for the SRT.

sorry, I don't like Tibs from experience... I felt like I was gonna break it everytime i drove it.

there are lots of options out there. sure, the tib is fast... but doesn't mean I like it. Different people have different opinions.. and it seems quite a few don't like Hyundai..

and besides.. i don't think a Mazda forum is the best place to say "Hyundai is the bestest in the world" ;)

First, I never said hyundai was the best. Nor did I say everyone has to like it. I was simply correcting a few mistakes that were said in the thread. That's it. I am not saying one is better than the other, or anything like that.

Also, an Srt4 is 21, not 20. don't forget about installation. Here is what I think of the SRT4... The video is on the bottom of the page.. SRT-4 vs SC tiburon. http://www.cheesefrog.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=1

i could've taken a Silver SRT-4 off the lot new here in town for $18, i was inflating the price when I said $20

We are talking MSRP here. Lets leave negotiated price out of this since technically, the dealer owns the car and could give it away for free if he wanted to.

Lawrence Marshall Dodge is offering $4,000 off MSRP on SRT-4's right now. What are you talking about 21k? Hahah, closer to 18k...

eh, I have my experience and i'm not gonna get into a pointless pissing contest. I personally wouldn't buy either one, so whatever.

replica... I am going of manufacturer websites here. Look up the prices. Then talk to me. If one specific dealer is offering an incentive.. then so what. Like I said, he can GIVE THE CAR AWAY FOR FREE if he wanted to now couldn't he.

Whatever, drive to Houston. They've been running that price for weeks.

Drive to Texas? WTF is wrong with you people? How can you compare prices of two cars if you are going to quote a price from one specific dealer?
The only way anyone would be able to get that is to go there... which would cost you just as much as you are saving depending on where you are traveling from. WHy not just stick to MSRP on dodge.com and MSRP on hyundaiusa.com Keep the playing field even... Otherwise I will just say well at joe schmoe hyundai I can get a tiburon for 5k off msrp. You guys love to compare apples to oranges don't you. By the way, what is the stock WHP on the mazda? I heard it was something like 139?

hey grasshopper how about i show you 400+whp in my station wagon when its done for under 18 grand including cost of car from the price when i bought it new, seriously the cost vs hp arguement is ******* old.

Well I usually stay outta stupid internet crap, but some people need to be informed before they talk s***. Thought I'd throw up some links to threads and vids. Not to bad for JUST being Hyundai's. It's too bad most people think they are driving the fastest cars in the world, maybe they'd at least respect something other than what they are driving.

What? It doesn't cost $4,000 to get across the US, even the WORLD for that matter. Hahah.

Well, if you want to pay sticker then ok. If you're bringing up warranty I just don't feel bad bringing up pricing. As for the Mazda WHP I don't really care. With less power from the Mazda speed and the big scarey V6, they probably run close times. The MSP isn't that great of a car but will definately keep pace with a Tiberon with a Santa Fe motor in it. 2.7L and only like 170 hp? Hehe, I dunno...

So, stock for stock, I can pay 18k for a stock car with a BUILT motor that runs 14 flat (srt-4), or I can spend 16.7k for a high 15 car with cast s*** internals. Hmm, this is tough...

As for apples to oranges, you're comparing a modded car to the humble stock SRT-4....wow.

dont the tibs v6 version also weigh over 3100 lbs? or around that...
Yeah, I think they're pretty beefy. I think the Eaton blown Tibs are really neat but I'm certainly not going to praise it as highly as the tiberon sack riders in this thread. The 312whp with 15 PSI on a V6 is kinda sad, AND it needed to spray for a high 12? Eh, I'd rather buy a honda and do it cheaper...

yes 312whp with 15psi on a v6 does not impress me in the least, i could care less either way im just trying to focus on finishing my car =)

onthat site it shows the guy running 15psi only getting 280whp, the guy using nitrous got the 312...280whp with 15psi on a v6 is definately not impressive, the 312 was in between but thats with nitrous and a fully built motor..
