200 horse plus n/a

hey i was told that unless i upgrade my trans that im not gonna be able to put more horses in my car more than 200 or 250 is this true cuz thats gay

yeah...... msps are all turbocharged...... and your clutch might go before anything else. the only time I've heard of horsepower related tranny failures is in automatics.

sorry about the n/a haha im tired but im only gettin a frontmod intercooler cold air intake and bov and exhaust then the rest custom interior is that ok or is that gonna **** my clutch

I wouldnt think you would screw your clutch at all.... Mazda uses very nice products to build there cars... In fact Kelvin Hiraishi (director of mazda research and development) Built the car with alot more power than it has now.. He then downtuned it to get a good blend for smoother ride that way other people could enjoy the msp without that break neck turbo feel most get... (he did the same with the new mx5) nice part about the down tune is that he didnt take parts out or use weaker parts.. *the parts just, well are not to the full potential* so drive happy (eekdance)

also note that alot of people on this forum have alot more done than what your talking about and there cars seem to hold up fine.

Smells like a Mazda mole to me. Sorry if your not, but damn, name dropping like that makes ti seem to be a mole.

There are a few 230+ WHP MSP prototypes running around cali and michigan BTW. It just sucks that the car, now "detuned" runs like s***. I dont see that as an enjoyable drive for me.
