Letters were supposed to go out to owners mid-November if I remember right. Many have received them already. The letter is just a notification, you should be able to fill out the claim reimbursement form now. I've seen people posting about claiming reimbursements and receiving payouts on Reddit as well.

I received my letter (regarding warranty extension for leaking head) from Mazda today.

So I submitted for this last night at 8pm. 9:15 this morning I got a denial email. I am more than infuriated at this, if they don't own up to this, I will be inclined to get a lawyer at this point. It said in the email that my problem/submission didn't pertain to anything in the CSP11. When all the paperwork submitted....literally pertains to this one repair.

I called corporate to inquire, and am supposed to get a call back. I don't believe that will happen, as it didn't happen when the actual failure took place 2 years ago.

Anyone else have this experience?

Got the extended warranty in the mail today. Even though I've had my long block replaced already under 3rd party extended warranty. Something is wrong in your case, keep fighting.

Can anyone let us know if you submitted a claim and how long it took to get an answer...either way? Thanks for the help!

Sample size of one (so far). I wouldn't pay it any mind unless more reports start to trickle through over time. Right now it just seems like a random one off occurrence.

Just coming here to let everyone know and give some hope...We had to have our engine replaced in Sep of '22 due to this defect. After fighting with our local dealership we had to pay $2100 out of pocket for the repair back then. Received the CSP letter from Mazda in late December, applied for re-imbursement on Jan 1st, and was notified yesterday that Mazda has approved our claim and would be receiving payment in 10-14 days! Good on Mazda for FINALLY making this right.
