Hey Guys,

so this is my first oil change on this car, and im having trouble finding the oil filter on the car, i've searched up the location of it but, all it ever brings back is , "above the drain plug and to the side" but i reach up and fiddle around, and cant find it. anyone got any info or can help would be great :) thanks!(rei)

its under the intake manifold between the motor and firewall its a pain to get to. easiest way is take a flashlight and get way under your car and look for it. its on the passenger side

i've owned a lot of cars, and changed the oil for a lot of friends and family. this is by far the most difficult oil filter i've ever had.

here's my tip. i'm 6'3 and i was knee level with the front bumper under my car. put your hand between the engine and firewall, break your wrist in half (or just bend it backwards), and you should be able to feel it. once you can feel it, you will know where to look and should be able to just barely see it. then pray that its not on super tight. i'm going to look in to a filter relocation kit. that was just too ridiculous.

lol the intake manifold really blocks it especially w/ my fs-ze motor. with a lift its really no problem at all

It is a pain I don't even like to do it. Luckily I have a brother that will do it for 5 bucks :) plus oil

very nice, thanks guys,. figured it out. but.... i have a problem,, i drained (what i think was) my gear oil. so i need a location point on where to pour it in at because..... well you know not very good to be driving with very little amount in. so... how bout that, can anyone help me with that? :) thanks!

EDIT: actually... just searched up and found a how-to. haha thanks guys!

well i found it, and its ridiculous because, i found the bolt and its huge, maybe a 17mm or 18mm? then i have to fight gravity to get the oil in? or would it just fill right in ?

Ya its almost always a pain to get in be prepared to spill some. Also just in case make sure your using gear oil and not motor oil. Not insulting you in anyway you'd just be suprised at people that don't know the difference between gear oil motor oil and trans fluid
