18x8 ET37 235/40/18, any problems?

I really like the looks of the RX8's but finding a nice set is next to impossible around here and I'd like to drop some weight of the wheels. These OZ wheels are rated at around 16 to 17lbs depending on what width you buy. That's about 7lbs a wheel less than stock. Should be a noticeable improvement in acceleration and ride with that great a reduction in rotational mass.

here are some preview shots at night time...I needa take some pics in the daytime!

thanks for helping me guys! it runs perfect and super flush...i do have the rear fenders rolled

has anyone had any experience running a 235/40/18 on an 18X8 +48 offset wheel?

While it may make the steering more "responsive," it will also increase your steering effort, torque steer and "kickback" on bumps (especially mid-corner bumps) due to the increase in scrub radius. Just something to keep in mind. :)
I ran 18x8+48 Rotas last season with 235/40R18 Falken FK452s, and everything Nliiitend mentioned was so bad that I took them off. They're sitting in my basement with no car to call home...

has anyone had any experience running a 235/40/18 on an 18X8 +48 offset wheel? also lowered on H&R's, no fender rolling. i figure it should be ok, the stock tires are 8.5" overall width and the 235/40 tires are about 9.4" overall width. i think i have at least 1/2" of wiggle room on both sides. just wondering if anyone else has tried this size combination.

I have 18x8 +45 with nexen n3000 235/40/18's on H&R's and it rubbed pretty good on passenger side rear, and I couldn't have anyone ride in the backseat because it would rub on every single bump in the road. I Had them rolled last saturday, problem cured!! Fender rolling is so important for us to have nice wheels and tires setup.
