Well dudes, it is time for a new set of rims for the Protege. I have had my old ones for 3 years and I want something different. The question however that I can never decide though is: Should I get 17's or 18's? Please vote......your votes will help me decide. Thanks!

well i voted for 18's because they look really nice on our cars, but if you plan on doing any type of performance driving i'd say get 17's or have and extra set of wheels for those autocrosses and trips to they drag strip.

autocross = 14s or 15s. 17s are way too heavy for any serious racing.

I have 17's now guys, and I don't plan on doing any autocross or anything.

Here is the pic of what I have now:

I would get 18's if you are going to get 215/40/18 tires ..anything smaller just looks dangerous. The weight of the rims/tires may be an issue though ..maybe you can find something light weight.

i run a nitto neo gen 205/40/18 with dub trump spinners that weigh a whole lot and i never had a problem except for nails, and i live around d.c. where the roads a not that well maintained.
