13 sec. 1/4 mile?

Coming Soon

Hopefully sometime this weekend i will try to get in the 13s . I have the ion fmic and injen cai Mbc on the way . Gota get the colder plugs in toomorrow. Then iam good to go I think Ran a 14.9 last time on stock boost So if my traction will hook up maybe 13.9 (drive) Driver skills baby

drags

Oh yea need drag radials Theres a guy that was at the track in dec and he ran 14.3 @ 9 psi on drags he runs 14.0 flat Only difference he has gutted cats and no fmic. So 13s it is Discreet get some drag radials and show them haters 13.2 (humpleg)

if you're gonna break 13 safely you'll need forged internals IMO

forged internals ($????), boost controller ($20-300 depends on MBC or EBC but crank up the PSI), Blitz Dual TT boost gauge/turbotimer ($100), spark plug wires ($40) , CAI ($225), downpipe and exhaust ($8-900). Total = $1280 plus cost of the forged internals. Should put you in the 2k range plus or minus a little bit.

With that you should be getting quite a bit faster and getting into the 13's should be more realistic. Someone mentioned a new turbo but then again forged internals seem to be needed.

Just to be clear here, those mods will get you INTO 13's, they will not get you 13 sec! Your posts seem to indicate that you wanna run a 13 sec 1/4 time, which is far more expensive than running a 13.99 hehe.

14.8 with Snow tires, Injen CAI and New England Winter Air :) (on my G-Tech)

everyone keeps saying its "easy" to get the msp to run 13's, is there any real proof of one running 13's?, obviously discreet can run 13's with a 105mph trap speed, but you will probably need radials at LEAST to run a 13. Then you will have to worry about snapping the stock axles...

timeslips can be faked too easy =) the only real proof is a video to me...but a timeslip is more then word of mouth also.

I wouldn't worry as much about doing that with an msp

but your comments about it being "easy" are correct

If you wanna break into the 13's you need forged internals. If you're going to go a full 2 seconds faster with ANY car you're gonna need to get your ECU reporgrammed or a power FC.

The excitement of getting to the 13's often keeps people from paying attention to engine management.

Spend the 2k on whatever.... you should still be fine (but watch the boost). After that if you're seriously wanting to go faster you need to get a power FC if you want to be driving your car a year after you hit 13.9

when you run drag slicks or radials with alot more power then a stock msp, the axles are most definately not going to last(unless someone will prove me wrong) .. =)

TIRES!
Traction is what is keeping most low 14 second MSP owners out of the 13s.
3in exhaust, 12psi, and tires will get you there.
