13.8 at 101mph with a 2.0 60'

well yep just got back from the track that was my best time, oh yea, and im pretty sure i blew my head gasket, the car is sitting near moroso i have to get it towed later tonight and open her up later lol...i couldn't for the life of me get a 1.9 60' but it was also my 1st time with the radials at the track.

ps. these times were with sticking back breaks and a ****** Hg

edited: i had a ****** up piston during these runs but only thought it was the hg...(the top of the piston is shattered apart)

good times? With slicks? What boost level?

How do you know it's a blow head gasket?
 
9psi, not slicks - just radials, im HOPING it's a head gasket, its basically just leaking smoke out, so it's most likely that, if not oh well forged internals here i come. But most likely that is it, i won't know untill i pull it apart. Im gona check the compression also cuz i bet thats low, btw i ran that time with the car all running crappy, so im sure it's good for a mid 13 if it wasn't running all gay.

no like from the engine bay lol...i dunno whats wrong it was too dark and i couldnt see, the car does run, but obviously im not driving it like it is cuz i will do serious damage...

Wow..that's gotta be scarry

I remember seeing somethign like that..but turned out..that the intake & exhuasts cams..weren't aligned properly..and the were both opened at same time..

Smoke came from all over the place..and the car barely idled.

yea, the car does run, but i simply can't drive it, head gasket is just a guess...ill be upgrading to the copper HG and doing forged internals, so the car might be down for a while, sorry folks! =(

he should be posting soon, i think he ran a best of 14.5 at like 104mph =), he has the traps for mid 13s like me, but he was getting serious wheelspin, i think he said his 60' were in the 2.5 range...we both got a shitload of runs in though, i was seriously suprised, i think i got like 7 before my car ****** up.
 
it was, but we got there when it opened, and got like 4 runs before any other class went, and it was also no time night, which basically means all the cars run in the same class...
 
nps, it's no biggie, i KNEW it something would happen sooner or later, just hope it's nothing bad, if it is, the car will be down for a few months til i can pay for forged interals, fuel management, etc...ill come back out hard =)
 
ive been running the car for a year or so like this, i really did not believe it would last this long without problems lol...if it is just a head gasket, then i will put a new one on and get it back out there.

it probably won't be for a while...unless of course it is just the HG, ill be back out soon...oh and i put a hurtin on a buncha cars it was funny, this guy in a mustang GT would just not give up racing me, i think i beat him 3 runs in a row, by like 4 cars....haha, then a all motor rsx beat me, and i think i ran a 14.2 on that run, so he was easily high 13s...
