OK just a small question will putting on slightly heavier rimms and tires reduce the power when doing a dyno.My aftermarket rimm and tire combo is a good 5lbs heavier each, because they are chrome and not light alloy.I guess its difficult to have the best of both worlds.

Also keep in mind if a shop chooses to have a high horsepower support like for diesel trucks, their drums will be heavier, causing the dyno to read a tad lower than regular dyno's around the area.

As far as your question goes, your wheels have to be about 100 lbs heavier on each wheel to show a slight decrease in power, so i wouldnt worry abou it.

dyno numbers should not be used for anything but tunning....they all vary. Trap speeds is what you should use, basically i wouldn't worry to much if you dyno low unless your trap speeds all lower than the average and you happen to be close to sea level.

Hey guys... test pipe = replacing catalytic converter with straight pipe right? Rest of stock exhaust is still in place?

Well there are 2 the Race/test pipe replaces the 2nd(closest to mufler) and i believe the down pipe replaces the first.

Thax alot for the helpful info and a note on that:-)I think i`m not going to get any closer to the sea level than down here in South Florida. Also one more question does a lower treadwear rating mean more grip as in softer tires, because the 235 Kumhos i have seem to have a lower tread wear than the original Bridgestones, but they are definately more comfortable and softer.(drive)

sorry been gone hunting for three days. Yes i shift at 5800rpms and do it as fast as you can. Power falls off hard after 6k so dont even bother taking it higher than 6k.

haltech I agree 11s will be had by a select few next year. Just takes the right setup and person driving it. These cars are gonna be tricky with that short ass gearing. Though I too am scared about the drivetrain holding up on this car. Im thinking the lsd will be the first to go!!!! Axles look up to the task but tranny worries me. Clutch seems to be pretty good. Im guessing 400-425ftlbs. will be its limits.

I think your clutch is going to go soon enough, lol. Start looking for a spec 2 clutch setup and possibly a billet flywheel. That will give you a little more power as well.

5500 rpm by the time the clutch engages, you will be roughly at 5800 between shifts.. No need to be a smartass.

you're right didnt want to be but i wouldnt have gone there if someone had answered my question sooner sorry for peeing in your cheerios

cost me about 1k to get 304 ss turboback from helgie at macon mechanical in WEST VIRGINA. another 600 for skid plates to protect the 5" pipe undercarriage
