i was wondering if anyone made a turbo kit for a 1.8 DOHC?
Pimp_Nastae said:what i heard is that if you use a 2.0 turbo on a 1.8 you'll get turbo lag...
for sport-auto's.shaneMazda2000P said:6psi max safe..
QFT2.0l kit will bolt on, the only differance in the engine is that the 2.0l is stroked more.. the 2.0l and 1.8l are essentially the same motor.....
yeah, but regardless, even at low boost it's going to reduce the life of the tranny no matter how you look at it.Kansei said:^^ Mark (BazookaJoe) has a turbo auto 2.0.. with the "straight auto tranny", not the "sport" automatic (lol @ sport automatic). Last I checked he hasn't had any tranny problems, you just gotta keep the boost low.
really? wow, I thought you had a manual (peep)I have an auto tranny with 7psi, it chirps the tires from 1st to 2nd, i do let off a bit when it goes to shift, but its going like a champ....
the 1.8L is the exact same as a 2.0L, the only difference is it's bore and stroke. Thus, any bolt on that works with the 2.0L, works with the 1.8Lturbo fs-2.0 said:Here's my question can I swap everything from my existing Mazdaspeed FS-DE 2.0 motor, turbo-manifold, harness, ecu ect on a FP-DE 1.8 without a problem? or the motor will run like crap?

someone tried to take a 2.0L longblock's internals and put them into a 1.8L longblock?.. the different displacement didn't give a clue that they wouldn't fit? (poke)shaneMazda2000P said:except for internal parts in the block, someone tried to convert the 1.8l block with 2.0l internals, idnt work..
