08 Bose headunit in 07 non Bose trim Mz3???

I have a 2007 mazda 3 with the single cd player and i want to upgrade the unit, I just wanted to find out if the 08 Bose headunit will work in the 07 mazda 3 non bose trim.Thanks alot, if not any suggestions of othe mazda 3 headunits that i can use as an upgrade, thanks again

nobody? wiring on the bose looks exactly the same as the one i currently have.

i already bought the amp and sub from the model on ebay, do you think this will make a difference, i want to get the 6 disc changer upgrade and the bose deck i was thinking would be the best option to work with the sub and amp...i just need to confirm if it will work on the car...

the part number for the unit i want to use is BAR3669RX...again the wiring on the bose looks exactly like that of the unit i currently have.

Bose HUs will not work at a direct replacement of non-Bose HUs since the Bose HUs are not amplified. If you bought the amps and sub, then you are ready to go!

Not a Bose HU, its the same HU, the only thing thats "bose" is the amp, and speakers

so the unit is not an un-amplified unit? also, the sub and amp that i got had the wire harness cut, do i need to buy a new wire harness or is it easy to re-wire? the connectors are there with the cut pigtail, thanks again guys, I have to say that i know next to nothing about car audio so this is all new to me, I'm more of a suspension guy myself

For the sake of clarity and disregarding who actually makes the headunit, headunits from MS3 with Bose system=Bose HU, non-Bose system=non Bose HU. Bose equipped HUs output low level signals (non amplified) so you would need separate amp. If you get HUs from non Bose cars, they can be hooked up directly to the speakers, and if you want to add amps, you can use either line level converters or use the speaker inputs if the amp has them.
