theres a 15.99 kit something like headlamp restoration kit, ask for it @ autozone they'll show ya, and TAKE YOUR TIME sanding it down, use the solution in the package 2-4 times depending, and follow up with PlastiX twice. mmm glorious results.

damit i wish i would have seen this earlier, i tryed everything and nothin helped so i used a dremel and it was workin at fisrt, but then i held it in one place too long and melted a spot on the lense 
so maybe a wet sanding follwed by this?

soft scrub works because well, anything with grit will polish down the hazing. The only problem is if you rub too hard with soft scrub, you could damage the lens. With the plastx, there is very little to no grit, so it seems to be "safer" to use.

Never ever circular sand plastic, it has to be done in long horizontal swipes, that was your problem
grab some nice progressive sand paper swatches and start rough and work your way to fine. depending on how badly you messed it up that is~justanothermp5

I have attached a picture of the cleaning kit below. I believe you can get this at Autozone, Advance Auto Parts, and probably Walmart. I would go to Autozone first, that is where I got it or if you are just to lazy or busy to get it yourself, you can also find it online, just Google it. If you use a buffing attachment for the McGuires PlastX, it would probably turn out even better.
Ha!I bought that at Pepboys and it was 10 bucks down the drain.I used Permatex Headlight restorer kit and that worked great!Plus,I slap on the PlastX from time to time.
Resand it then, you didnt have it uniform~
yeah, probably. i just didn't have enough time to try it again. the weekend was ending, and i had to get to work. next time i feel like taking the lights out i'll do it again.

sub.. will be trying this very soon.
I'll make a note of these solutions. Reminds me a little of using toothepaste, car wax, etc. to restore scratched CDs. One note however, a friend who worked at a headlamp OEM factory told me they put a "sunscreen" coating on the surface of the lenses. If you aren't restoring this, I'm thinking they will tend to re-yellow sooner (tho hey, just re-polish them again...) Moreover, if your lights still look pretty decent, maybe you shouldn't be in a hurry to polish them, thus removing the coat. (e.g. mine have a lot of little rock dents but no yellowing) But still, an excellent way to avoid needing a new set of headlamps!
It worked for me, and really well too. I don't know why you had different results. Were your headlights really bad off?

just used this combo and it worked very well. A little patience and elbow grease help alot with these kits.
