02 or 03?

I found it!

***Coverage for all 2003, 2004 and 2005 model year vehicles against defects in materials and workmanship for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.
"Bumper-to-bumper" coverage for every Mazda-supplied part, from the badge on the grille to the license plate light (except those components subject to normal wear and tear). ***

so for those of you who owns a 2003, why do you think you have 3 years warranty?

cause that is what was on my paperwork when I bought my P5. But I drive so much cause I realy like to drive my car. So the time frame doesn't really matter to me. I was out of warranty at 18 months.

subwoofer sounds ok. not best in the world, but not worst either. Realize that in order to have the sub in, the floor of the trunk is raised by a couple inches. Some have pointed out it actually takes less space to throw in a 10" sub. (shrug)

Breegz, it should have said it on the window sticker as an option, with cost as (no charge).

Well ive got a 10" Diamond Audio sub ina Subzone box, and it would take up most of the space in the hatch since theres not much to begin with. (hah)

I just like the idea of it being hidden and out of the way.

Breeegz: Can you email me some pics of everything u got for sale? Iron509monkey@yahoo.com

See i want some bass just not a whole lot. Just enought to accensuate(sp?) the lousy stocker speakers...lol.

the stock sub does that pretty well. As Zath pointed out, it's not great, but for me (a non-audiophile), it's plenty.

I wasn't aware that there was a sub available in 2003. But in 2003.5 the sub is mounted in the spare tire and comes free. It's not the very best subwoofer in the world, but it sure beats nothing!

i got a 3.5 with the sport auto (great for autos who want to hear there exhaust)and 6 disk and the woofer, good enough system for me (first)

I did hear the story second-hand... I was scared when I saw your hardtop go up for sale and realized it probably meant you were out of the Miata world for the time being. :( But at least you can't escape us as long as you stay in the Mazda family. You'll probably love driving the P5, though the power shift from a supercharged Miata to a P5 is going to be... painful. They're still fun to drive. I hope we will get to see you at the tech days and meets once in awhile, though?

I don't really know anything at all about the warranty stuff so I have little or nothing to really contribute to the thread, but I wanted to say hi. :D

I have a 2003.5 with the sport auto, and it came with the sub. My warranty was 48 months, 24,000 miles.

I've got a 2003 and it came w/ a 4 yr., 48K warranty. I liked that about it and the color, which was only offered in 2003, so 2002 models weren't an option for me. I haven't had any issues that haven't been self-induced and I'll run out of warranty in about 7K miles.

I had a 48mo, 50K factory warranty (recently passed the mileage) and a 10yr, 100k extended warranty from the dealer (he really wanted to sell me the car so it was no extra cost).
