Just hit 56k and may need rear wheel bearings AGAIN?? Will find out on Tuesday

Well that is true and this dealer said the same thing, but that was when they thought I was flipping the bill not Mazda. Do you think they would reverse it? I believe they told me if it gets covered under warranty I should push Mazda to reimburse the funds. They didn't say anything about...

Just hit 56k and may need rear wheel bearings AGAIN?? Will find out on Tuesday

Mazda fixed my wheel bearing, but would only do the one side that was bad. Apparently according to the service advisor they tried to get them to replace the other rear as a PM since they were both replaced once under warranty, but Mazda would not go for it. Still not sure if I should try to...

Just hit 56k and may need rear wheel bearings AGAIN?? Will find out on Tuesday

Well Mazda will cover the cost of the one bad wheel bearing. I plan on discussing with the mechanic to take a close look at the remaining 3 to see if there is ANY sign of an issue since I have Mazda working with me currently. I spent a $115 out of pocket on the diagnostic which I am wondering...

I believe my first replacement was after the initial first TSB.

Just hit 56k and may need rear wheel bearings AGAIN?? Will find out on Tuesday

I am not sure, but I would think so. From what I understood the wheel bearings were continually going bad due to the sensor cover not fitting or covering properly. Check with your dealer on that TSB.

    Wheel bearings replaced

As I posted this same issue in the powertrain section. I had my wheel bearings replaced at 12,000 miles and now at 56,000 they are out again. Waiting to see if Mazda will cover again since it is under the Powertrain which is a 5 year warranty and I am less than 2 weeks out of warranty.

Just hit 56k and may need rear wheel bearings AGAIN?? Will find out on Tuesday

Well the dealer confirmed it seems to be the wheel bearings again. They charged me $115 diagnostic fee, supplied me Mazda's number and gave me the newest TSB number dealing with the issue. Apparently the newer TSB 03-002/08 is a new ABS sensor cover that covers the wheel bearing properly not...

Just hit 56k and may need rear wheel bearings AGAIN?? Will find out on Tuesday

Personally I cannot recall exactly. I just remembered the first time around there was a noise coming from the rear and it got louder as the car went faster. Just sounded more like a truck in the interior. I don't recall any grinding, just a drone that got louder.

Just hit 56k and may need rear wheel bearings AGAIN?? Will find out on Tuesday

I had the rear wheel bearings replaced at 12,000 miles and now just hit 56k on our 07 GT. Since it is the wife's car I don't drive it that much anymore, but it seems the rear wheel bearings may be going again. Taking it to the dealer on Tuesday to see what they say. The drivetrain warranty...

Mine is from a Bose unit and he currently has a non Bose system. I think the head units are different or at least they were in th e07-08 years.

question on coolant flush on 07 with the FL22 coolant

We have had our CX9 since new and it now has about 56k on it. I took it in for a brake flush and they told me it was due for a coolant flush as well according to the mfg. I was OK with it since it endures the Arizona summers and since new from time to time I would get a coolant smell when I...

Tune up costs at 90K miles, brake fluid change

Not sure how you made out, but the spark plug replacement itself will run you over $300 from the dealer.

2010 OEM Bose 6 disc (non Navi) head unit for sale/Ipod cable OEM

the cable allows the ipod to charge and play through the head unit. It also allows use of the steering wheel controls, displays the artist and song on the 4x3 screen and sounds much better than going through the aux plug. I think the cable ran about $150-$175 and is an OEM part from Mazda.

2010 OEM Bose 6 disc (non Navi) head unit for sale/Ipod cable OEM

Yeah, I put it up there as well but didn't know if anyone here would be interested as well. I bought it to replace my OEM Bose head unit which was an 07 unit. I liked the 4x3 screen much better than the big round dial on the 07 head unit. Anyway I think it will only work with the Bose system...

2010 OEM Bose 6 disc (non Navi) head unit for sale/Ipod cable OEM

Don't know if we can post here or not, but pulling the 2010 head unit out of my wife's Mazda. Like new and I also have the Mazda Ipod cable as well. Please let me know if there is interest or if this is against the forum rules for posting.

Fluid Changes: Is my dealer charging to much?

The oil and filter seem reasonable. I spend that much to do it myself using synthetic. Not sure on the others as I still have not done that on our 07 with 53k. The manual doesn't state anything about changing the tranny oil and mine still looks nice and red. Also, I just checked with my...

3M paint protection for hood, front bumper, etc.

I have had ours on for almost 5 years and I overpaid for mine when it was done and I still think it is worth every penny. We have always garage parked our car and now live in Arizona and it doesn't get much hotter than this. Still not discolored, no chips and still looks great. I was told...

    Paint Chip Repair

I bought it last month and it works well, not perfect. You can still tell the chip exists but gets rid of the paint blob so it blends nicer.
