Here are some pics from port, looks like they are almost done, there 3 rows of them unfortunatly they were behind a build so the only pics I could get are from the road through a fence. Hopefully they will ship them soon.

AHHH!! Our babies are freezing!!.
Look at the sheet of frost on the glass...
They need a home badly!!..Mazda Canada, let us take them home already so we can keep them warm!!!!:D

*notice* is it just me, or is the rear skirt missing on all of those cars??

I thought so too, but I am also noticing that the exhaust tip on that first one doesnt look like the Racing Beat one!!! Are all of these cars here acctually not complete??? AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! We'll NEVER GET THEM AT THIS RATE!!!

yeahnthey aint even got the turbs on them...the exhausts aint there and i dont think htose are the mazdaspeed wheels...are they ?...

There were a couple that weren't complete but of the 100 or so that I could it looked like they were done. The worker who was nice enough to talk through the fence said that the turbos were in and that they were in the finishing area for spoilers and badging. As for a shipping date he didn't know, but told me that when I start to see them on the other side then they are being shipped.

Excellent spy shots Digi!!! Thanks for the update. Sounds like the labour intensive work is done, and there might be light at the end of the tunnel.

BTW, exhaust tip on the 1st picture, the rear bumper, and the wheels look about right. For me, they can leave off the 'tailgate party picnic' wing...but then I don't want to slow up the process!

Rather strange that the Mazda emblem on the trunklid is missing.

damn...the rear bumper does look a little odd to me...its like...too short compared to the side skirts and the front bumper... but it has to be the right one. why would they paint the wrong bumper orange, only to change it and put a different one on (lol)

nice shots digi. :) (thumb)

regarding rear bumper

I thought that the rear skirt is part of the bumper?
Is the rear skirt an actual 'add-on' piece?
On Protege 5's they all seem to be one piece and part of the bumper... correct me if i'm wrong.

The Racing beat muffler looks small to me. Looks like a muffler you'd find on the regular protege sedans.

i am not sure, it kinda looks like that, but i dunno. i dont care if it has a rear anything, i just want the car :D

quick reply dexter..
seems like you and i live on this board! :D
We're at pretty much at the same posting rate too...
I believe the rear skirt is an 'add-on'..
They wouldn't put on the stock bumper and then, remove it just for the rear skirt. It would only make sense to do things one after the other and not to go back in steps.

But even so, i never seem to see the screws on the rear bumper of protege 5's where they install the skirt on?

I will be going by the port tomorrow and see if there is any progres when I post pictures with a sign that say shipping area in the back ground then we will be very close. :)

Hey, any news or updated pictures?.

Thanks! :)

Cool keep us informed... im about to cancel my trade and forget the MSP if they are damn not moving ;-((((((

Went by port today and looks like they are working on the MSP, the three rows where down to 1 and I actually saw them move them to another location. So by the looks of it, there were only about 20 or so left that needed to be finished off. So hopefully they will start shipping them soon.

Good job with the updates though! Keep them coming! We know they will have to be showing up soon if there are no more at the ports!

Richmond, B.C. pics

Like all of you I'm waiting for my orange msp. I've been following this forum for a while and saw digi's photos. I've just got back from a business trip to Vancouver and on Thursday I had time in the afternoon, so I phoned a Mazda dealership, found out where the yards were, rented a car and headed out there. Don't hate me, but I had no camera.
They are still just like in Digi's photos. Some in rows and 6 near the buildings. It's not frost on them, its that protective white film they put on new cars. After walking up and down the fence a few times drooling, I decided to get brave.
I drove to the entrance .... no signs, no guards. I parked in the employee parking lot .... no one anywhere.
I looked in some of the windows to the buildings, then wandered down to where the msp's were. There are 43 of them there. Many don't have their wings, some don't have the bumper skirt (like those in digi's photos), some don't have the badging ... they all seem to need something. The ones without the wings ... the wing is in a cardbox in the back seat. A lot of the stereos weren't in yet, only a few had the Sparko shifter on, the rest had a black leather one, and only a few had the Racing Beat exhaust. It looks wicked ... real big. They all have the Racing Hart wheels, that's what you see in the photo.
It was a dark, ugly day but the orange looked incredible .... wwwwwaaaaayyyy better than any photos I've seen. I was a little worried about the colour but I pick this one anyday. Sorry to all you guys who ordered black.
I saw one thing that bothered me ... it was really too dark to be sure, but I think the colour match of the body and the wing wasn't great ... the wing looked a little more yellowy.
After a while I went looking for the other 200 msps.
I hit a part where the sign said no unauthorized vehicles so I didn't push my luck. I was standing gazing out at thousands of cars, trying to find more orange ones when I guy came out of a building and started asking questions. I told him my story ... deposit down ... Mazda being "uncommunicative" ... business trip ... yada yada .... he gets friendly. He was a great .. the yard is pissed because they want to move them, not store them. The other 200 are down in the "south yard" whatever that is. The hold-up .... ducts and turbo parts from Calloway, or more correctly, not coming from Calloway.
He seemed in the know, and it adds up with the rest of the internet talk. I think it might be time to stop nagging Mazda and time to send a few emails and phonecalls towards Calloway and see if we can rattle their cage.
Sorry about the length of this, but its my first post so I get a little leeway.
