I use an iPod classic connected to the USB in the center console which integrates nicely with the Infotainment without issue except when it's cold or hot outside, then the battery dies quickly and I can't use it until it charges back up. I thought I could switch to using a USB stick which doesn't have a battery that needs to stay charged but the file system isn't conducive to the infotainment system and is harder to use, especially for playlists, and doesn't let you play lossless files (iPod can at least play .m4a).
Is there an iPod alternative you know about that's able to play lossless files through the Infotainment (not sure if the infotainment system is even able to play lossless files from any media players), or at least something that has similar functionality to an iPod that could have a better battery than my old iPod classic?
