or will i have to lay down more money to fit this s*** with mods and what not! ?

Hey! Yes, you can definitely just bolt them on!
The speedometer on the other hand is a different story, if you put tires that correspond to the stock size tires then you won't have any issues. There is a great site where you can compare tire size: Here
For example I found a set of rx8 rims wearing 245/45/18 Dunlops, obviously they are way too big for the MZ3, but, I still put them on! And it looks bombastic! Almost no wheel gap! But, my speedo is off by about 6%.

They are WIDE! but, eventually I'm going to put a set of 225/40/18 which are the perfect fit for the mz3's stock 205/50/17

Yes they will fit. Bolt up. The tires are a different story though. 225/40-18 are are close to the stock 205/50-17 on the hatches.

dew it. buy rx8s i have 2 sets now i picked up my next set for 150 im gonna powder coat them differ color and get winter tires.
