Side marker connection

I have my side maekrker harness..I noticed one side was stripped and not sure if suppose to be like this.


Closer look to the questionable end....do i neet to have a blk wire from this lead ?

If I need a blk wire can i splice from here?


I bought this car couple months ago and previous owner did not take care of it...slowly trying to put back into shape.....thnx

Yes there needs to be a ground and power wire. I would suggest you unravel the entire loom and check where the wire was cut. My loom has both side marker and fog lights taped together and there are no wires that stray from the connectors.

Hi There,

I am trying to get my side markers to work and found your post.

Mine has the bulbs and socket and harness, but they don't come on. I checked the bulbs and they work. The socket that holds the bulbs have only 2 prongs at the bottom. And the socket that it attaches to also only has 2 holes. But I've read that some P5 actually have 3 prongs.

Can you tell me if you got yours working and if it's 2 or 3 prongs? I don't know why mine doesn't turn on. I can't see it being a blown fuse as I suspect it uses the same fuse as the hazards/turn signals (and they work).
