AEM F/I controller

mines been working great had to clamp the o2but that was simple enough its in the program and my cars getting tuned by iveytune.com next week ill let you know how it goes

Dose anyone have a wire diagram they are willing to share with us. It would help me out a lot becuse mine should be here soon.

for anyone running this with the corksport cams may want to consider running 1.2-1.3kohm resistor sense it'll be reg. more air you'll have to do less adj. on the computer

I think im gonna sell me ssafc v1 and go with the aem, seems like a better unit to me.. And im it can handle 565cc injectors easier.

I'd buy your SSAFC if the V1 had Wideband logging... ;-( Maybe still, lmk. Forgive the redundancy, but why again is AEM better ? ? With the SSAFC, do you have to clamp the O2 on a table or is it already done for you ? I want to ditch the emanage, it's a ******* joke how old it is, hates any Windows above 2000.

just get one of your techie friends (assuming you have one) to setup a virtual pc on your current notebook if you wanna give it another try.

the afc is great bang for the buck but ems choice should reflect your goals for the car. afc can only run to 16psi so keep that in mind.

I rather just try a new EMS. My goals are to sell the car after it's tuned with something else, because people think e-manage doesn't work on it and won't buy. I'm not looking to make more power, like I said, i'm just going to sell the car.

finally got my aem fic up and going great. from just a few easy map building and i am hold a solid 11.3 afr. car runs strong and install was pretty easy and strait forward. special thanks to twisiert for all the help and walking my over thinking things self through that last part. very pleased with the set up. going to do some extensive tuning this weekend and try to get a dyno number here soon.

FIC is the best piggyback I ever owned, if I had opportunity to get another one, Ill still aim for this.

When you're done and have consistent runs,...... and some spare time. WRITE-UP. A real, comprehensive write-up, including detailed settings, unit's of change, etc...

ok i'm still waiting to get a pro tune on it. I am still very happy with this piggyback even tho I can't figure out how to put my maps in emails

i will do as much of a write up as i can when i get a chance. found out that the total resistance you need for the resistor on the maf is 1.22kohm at 1/2 watt. tried a few dif setups and the best result was with that one.

Just got mine installed. Just trying to get the fuel settings right. My idle is a rich.

What settings need to be in the setup box?

Looks like the AEM is the best bet. It's warming up a bit now and the hesitation/stumble is becoming more frequent again.

What else should I purchase to help with the install? Anyone get a patch wiring harness to avoid cutting the stock wires?

Is a wideband necessary or is tapping the stock narrowband good enough? I have a friend with an LM1 that would probably sell it to me cheap. Probably good to have, just don't like the idea of having a bung welded in by some random muffler shop.

a narrowband is useless, get the wideband, and if youre on stock midpipe you already have a bung welded in, its just capped.

and its funny, i was reading this thread yesterday and was thinking i hadnt seen much AEM chatter lately.
