New Game I invented

Lets start a Tag game!!!!!

Everytime you spot a MP3, when they are not looking stick a note on the winshield saying they have been tagged and leave the website. Then they tag the next one, and so on. I saw one today at Six Flags. It was a yellow one from hiley mazda. I left a note and said he was tagged, and left the website. He left a note on mine saying thanks for the website and he would visit.

Might be dumb, but I'm bored and to me its fun. Lets see how many MP3's we can get on here, and how many we can tag.

We should start a list to see who is it. And keep passing it on.
Whoever I left the note on, if you are reading this you are it.

I don't think it's stupid...it's a good way to spread the word. As a matter of fact, I've wanted to do that, but I just have never seen another MP3 here...I know a couple exist, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I have seen two MP3s in the Denver Metro area. Both were going in the opposite direction from me in heavy traffic. I bought my car back in September.

The last time I saw a parked MP3 was in September, at the dealership, when I bought my car. It was mine that was parked.

ok, tag it is. now, all we have to do is find out who is it...but wont alot of new members be it? i mean, if we all "tag" other mp3's, then people will be "it" all over the place.

To bad I did not know about this game last night because I saw a MP3 last night at the Providence Place Mail parking lot in Rhode Island. That was the first MP3 I have seen around Mass. and Rhode Island.

I figure we could have a couple people it, and maybee even have a time limit or something. Like if it was a new member or someone who has never been to the site, they have one week to find the site and post they are it. Or something simular.

I have so many ideas running through my head on this game.
Here are a few.

1. Maybee we can have teams
2. Maybee we could put a decal on the back windshield with the website, and below it our member name. This way we could know who we tagged and if they are a member. Nothing too big though, I know some people hate big goddy stickers.
I had a sticker on my SVT Contour for contour.org, and it was small and perfect.
3. We could have one person it in every state.
4. We could al be it and post points for every tag.
5. We could get bonus points for finding them out of state, or in another city.

it just goes on and on.

I think a simple piece of paper under the wiper is fine. If someone stuck a sticker on my window, I'd have their head for supper I get mad enough when I park at Wally mart only to find someone has leaned up against the car to shove yet another piece of paper under my wiper. Some people just aren't careful. Now, we are car guys, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Neat idea though.

Definitely just a piece of paper...if someone tagged my car with a sticker I'd snap like a dry twig! One other idea especially if you have a good relationship with your dealer and they sold more than one is to ask them to contact the owner about the site...but that one's a little tougher to pull off.

okay guys...I would like to expand the game of TAG to not only MP3's...but to P-5's as well...its a really good way to get more members on the board...

and...on top of that....if any of you have MICROSOFT WORD...you can go to somewhere like wal-mart and by SHEETS of business cards....they come perforated and in a 8 1/2 X 11 sheet....then you make a really nifty card that maybe says TAG in the center and a little note inviting them to the fourm and give them the address.....easy.....cheap....and on top of that the cards look professional and the person may be more likely to come to the forum.

I was not meaning the sticker thing in the sence to put it on someones else's car, thats just plain rude and a pain to get off. I ment for us to put a decal on our own car to showoff the website, like a sponser type thing. That would notify me as the person going to tag another person's car with the paper under the wiper, who I was tagging. Not leave a sticker on their car to tell them I was tagging them. You misunderstood me. Don't worry I am very picky about my car too. I don't lean, nor expect anyone else to have too. Be carefull, I meant this to support the website, not cause any harm to anyone elses car.

The P5 thing I considered, but I decided there was too many P5's running around with dirvers having no intention to be a part of a site, nor racing. Like grandma's and dads. I think we should limit it to MP3's or P5's with some sort of notification that they are into this type of thing. Like aftermarket wheels, decals, lowered ect.

Please do not come stick a decal on my car. Business cards are fine, or a sheet of paper. Come to think of it, who in their right mind would put a decal on every MP3 they saw. Thats crazy, they are like $10-$15 a pop!!!! I am saying we design a cool decal, small and pretty enough for show, and place it on our own cars. To notify any person comeing to tag our cars that we know of this website. Like all the cars rolling around with the SCCA decals or car club type thing.

Just going further into this so I am not misunderstood.

personally I think its foolish to LIMIT or EXCLUDE your invitations to the board...which in effect is what this game of TAG is truely about....its a way to get more people to come to the board....

and I resent the fact that you BELEIVE that P-5 owners aren't as into the import sceen as MP3 owners.....that couldn't be farther from tthe truth...even the P-5 forum of this board is just as active as the MP3 section.....I live in a rather small town...and surprisingly enough there is a blue MP3 here...just one...and I found the owner quite by accident....and you know what? HE COULDN'T CARE LESS about the import sceen....kind of made me wonder why he baught a limited edition car that was geared towards performance......go figure.....

The fact that so many of the pieces and parts of the two cars are interchangeable....the fact that you want to exclude them is pretty stupid...you are only eliminating a valuable source of information.

i will get some business cards made like the ones from i-club and ill try and find an mp3.. there is only 3 or 4 on this side of michigan.. and im the only yellow one.... ive only seen one mp3.. but my neibor is getting the press mp3... for 10 grand....

hey, jag is not excluding p5s, just tagging those with import interest looks, and i believe its harder to find an mp3 owner thats not into the import stuff than a p5 one, and i say this just by watching p5s out there being used as anything but import related approaches.

Truth of the matter was I was so surprised to see another MP3, I thought it would be cool to start the came to try to retrieve all 1500 MP3's. The reason why the P5's contribute as much or more to this website is because there are thousands more of them. If we tagged all of them too then you would never be able to drive your car, because every time you turned then you would be stopping to run over to the P5. I am not saying that they are not included, just I will not waste my time tagging any unless they have aftermarket parts on them. Anyone who wants to feel free, but I am not.

Okay....guess I misunderstood you the first time...hey, it was early and I hadn't had my first cup of coffee yet! lol guess I should have known better....

I hear ya though.....just don't have that problem here....I own two, and there are only 5 others in the entire county.....ya see, I am sorta out in the boonies....and its more common for someone to get a P/U to mod than an import.....there are a few imports in our town...but they tend to be THE OTHER BRAND and not OUR cars! lol

w00t! I got a GOOD tag this morning! I had my POST IT notes ready....and coming toward me I saw a blue mp3 about a half mile away....so i got a post it ready, rolled down my window...and BAM, slapped it on his window right as we crossed paths. Unfortuntately, my arm hit his wing, and my elbow snapped backwards and now it's in a cast. But we'll have a new member! yay!

Oh my God I laughed for about ten minutes on that one.

Guys make sure the car is not in motion. The key was to tag the car when it was parked and noone was looking.

I got my second TAG last night in Bedford Texas. I tagged some kids car that goes to L.D Bell High school. It was a Blue MP3, all stock. I know he is not a member, so I left the web address.


Don't worry I just left a note under his windshield wiper. j/k

Very good idea Jag. I see about 1 new MP3 every other month. I know Linux's and your's Jag, but I've been seeing one on the way to work in the morning. I passed him on I 35 getting onto Woodall Rodgers. He had tinted windows and a white, tribal looking decal on his back window. Maybe I'll see him again.
